ESB Sidearm Holster Help...

Hey all, I already put in PM's to Taco and FettDad about this but I just wanted to see what anyone else thought...

I just got a MLC sidearm holster (in black and sweet btw...) and I was wondering how any of you attached belt loops, etc. to it so it will hang from the ammo belt if that is even correct...

I'm going to really check out the reference pics I have but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not the best pic... The real thing had a hard rubber belt loop that was riveted onto the holster body… I suppose you could also use some Chicago screws.

Thanks! Keep em' coming guys...Any mods to the MLC holsters would be of great help...

This pic gives me a good starting point for sure. I'm curious to see what others did and what materials they used as well...

Here are some pics from MLC's site for the holsters...

So are you all staying with just using one loop for the belt or two? I'm just wondering if the holster will swing around too much and not be stable if it's only on with one loop? I've been talking with Taco about making/selling me a few of the straps since he's making holsters himself. If not then I may just use webbing similar to what is used for airsoft pistol holsters. I don't think this will stick much with the canon look though. I think the leather would look closer to the original rubber from the spear gun holster.

Keep it with one belt loop, as close to the real thing as you can. Yeah it will flop around, but you arn't going to be jumping up and down or running while in costume.

I used a cut up section of a fan belt from my vintage Isuzu Trooper... it matched the material on the real holster (that I use to own) pretty well.
