ESB or ROTJ? Which way to go?

Hey fellow Fetts.

I'm in a bit of a vice here.. I don't really know which armor to go for.

I like the ESB helmet (like the yellow marks and the color better. the more the better)+ armor more, but in ROTJ he's got the better looking gauntlets (but less color on the helmet). So which way to go? Any recommendations? Keeping in mind that this will be my first armor and shouldn't be too difficult to paint/put together.

opinions anybody?

ps. If there are any dealers in europe or are making the parts them selves let me know. It would save me a tone of money on shippment and customs... ds

Oh boy...here we go again...the ESB VS ROTJ war...:rolleyes Well, you can always go the SE route, ROTJ suit and ESB helmet.

Oops.. i didn't mean to bring this up to discussion again if it's alrady been faught and won. So perhaps we should stick to construktive/meaningful advice or just send me an email or PM (tk05180@yahoo.se)

no offence everybody.

I think ROTJ may be a bit more complicated painting wise. THe JP for example, has tons of weathering and many diff colors, but considering your painting skills, you shouldn't have a problem;)

You could pick either or go both ways.....

Man..that just did not sound right, but I will leave it because it made me laugh.

I built a Kaiyodo 1/6 Fett & painted it "how I liked" & am planning on doing mine based on the Vinyl model.It would be something like this;
ESB helmet & jet pack
ROTJ gauntlets & suit

Anybody got a problem with that?:moon

Ok... well i'm just a simple man trying to make his way through the galaxy so bear with me on this.. but what do all of the abreviations (my spelling is probably wrong here but you know what i mean) mean? AOSW?
JP= Jet Pack?
SE= ??
AOSW= ??

The ESB and ROTJ i figured out a long time ago. But these new ones are a whole new pickle...

AOSW = Art of Star Wars ie the suit variant used in Art of Star Wars exhibition

SE = The suit used in Star Wars Special Edition

JP = yep you guessed that one right.

In my opinion, the ESB suit is more realistic, because of the all green armor and jet pack. The ROTJ suit has though advantages: It’s more agressive and Fett has more action scenes with it. It’s not astonishing that Japanese are crazy about him. It resembles their shogun warriors ...

"ROTJ suit+pack and the ESB helmet just like in AOSW"

Well i guess that kinda solves my problem doesn't it? Pretty much what i wanted. The ESB helmet with the ROTJ gauntlets.

The JP is going to be a later chapters. I'm just gonna focus on first getting the jumpsuit (cape, honorbelt & ammo pouches), flakvest, gloves and armor first. Next the helmet and gaunlets. The last thing on the list is the JP since it's not always that he wears it.

thanks for the tips.. it looks like i'm going for the AOSW version.

If you watch star wars or ROTJ special editions, there are a few new scenes where Fett was inserted. In these scenes he is wearing the ROTJ suit with the ESB helmet. This is actually the route I took with my suit as well because when I started my costume, only ROTJ parts were available. But I still preferred the ESB helmet.
