Finally finished my new ESB barrel mounts:
Made from the incorrect Maclow clips spliced together and a modified metal aircraft clamp and are double sided (unlike my old ones). Top 'U's are scratch built.
They're made using a bit of guestimation in some areas, but I'm pleased with how they turned out and think they look quite close given the ref I have (SCaps).
I've left off the mystery detail on the front one that goes around the threads as there is no firm evidence either way (plate/wire/washers/nothing).
They turned out niiiiiice.
... I'll say they are! Picked up a set of these from Simon and they are superb!! A much sturdier mount for the scope. Overall , more interesting detail to look at. Not sure if I'll add washers to the front bracket. By the way , Simon got these to me in under 24 hrs!!

Did you use a 50mm Maclow clip for the large clamp?
Strictly speaking no, the rear was a 'swimming pool pipe clip' that came in white plastic instead of the grey plastic of the Maclows.
It does have 1 1/2" / 50mm written on it.
Just received my ESB EE3, thanks SAS, awesome work...
Was there ever a decision made on the origin of the barrel mounts? I know you were discussing that in regards to the current ones you're using.
The thread discussing it ground to a halt due to lack of new findings I think, so until someone finds the exact item(s) - either pics of or the items themselves - it'll remain another Fett mystery.
I'm happy enough that my current ones are about as good as can be, given what we currently know & can see in the caps.
I'm still looking but as sidewinder says things kind of stalled. When I make mine I will use the Maclow and swimming pool clip found in the discussion thread as I believe that they represent the best presently available albeit with a lot of modifications to be done. If I find the exact parts I'll scream it from the rooftops!
Looks great dude. Can't wait to get it in the mail.
