Kit for a US Fett.
Kit for a US Fett.
US only :(
??? I will and have shipped kits and completed blasters to Australia.
Really is that so , id have thort it be a problem , with our extreem gun laws,
banning importation on any thing that looks like it could shoot
Hi there PM send ;-)
Apologies to all those waiting on kits and builds for delay, however the first kit of this batch has shipped to a NY Fett and the rest are being worked on now.
Full build wip, primary construction completed - this is yours Andreas.
I always loved your blasters because of the diferent coloured resins :lol Also the accuracy, I love them, really!
Another ESB finished, only missing its sling rings.
Awesome as always. Cant wait for mine.
PM sent for a RotJ fully assembled! These look awesome!
Darthgrace this is yours finished, Redtogusa yours is next and then a move to a ROTJ.
EE-3 kit received ! All perfect !
Now i can start to work on it ;-) Thanks mate :thumbsup
Excellent news. Thanks SAS.
Here it is Redtogusa, for your approval:
Can you use a real webley & scott no 1 mark 1 1917 ?
To add my parts to? Yes as my Webley parts are cast directly from my real Webley.
thanks, i like the work you did on yours. i am actually auctioning a real webley on gunbroker and I want to post in the Cargo hold, however, i am still a new member.
Hey SAS, just wanted to let you know I received my blaster on Sat. Really nice work, couldn't be happier. Thanks again.
Today I received the kit. This is amazing,:cheering worth the money spent:thumbsup
Hey, Sidewinder! I think my ROTJ blaster is next in the schedule. Any news? Thanks!
Yes, I am in fact working on yours as I type (well not actually 'as' that would be crazy!) :D
Hi mate, what do you use for the Sling rings? I am in need of some and I can't find any online. And you're in the UK too! cheers
I make my own posts from ally and use steel welded rings.
How much would a set be sent to Bath, UK?
Created a new resin part for my ESB kit. I normally machine a short piece of aluminium tube to fit on the end of the chrome tube I supply with my kits, this then glues inside the front scope mount/barrel front. I do this as the chrome tube is relatively expensive and see no point in having a couple of inches unseen inside the barrel.
I've now cast one of these pieces to save me machining time. The part that goes in the barrel/mount is a snug fit on the mount but a loose fit in the barrel - done so you can shim it to a tight fit with plasticard/tape/cardboard and get the chrome tube to line up straight with the barrel. I recommend this part is epoxied in for maximum strength (the surface of the adapter is rough to aid adhesion)
(Kit price unnaffected)
Hey Sidewinder... I have one of your kits from 2010... do you drill the holes into the metal tube yourself? I'm not happy with the one I made (I only have access to a hand drill and not a press) do you have these available separately?
the custom barrel is pretty sweet
ESB & ROTJ built & basecoat for BM.
Now working on a full ESB buildup for a US Fett who wanted more pew pew for his buck. To that end He sent me a chopped down (save on postage!) Hasbro blaster toy to use for the light and sound gubbins. When I got it I was pretty impressed with the sound quality and volume from a cheapo toy.
First I stripped out the electronics leaving what you see here:
Battery case, speaker, circuit board and single ultrabrite LED. All these parts will be going inside the barrel cavity.
The trigger switch is built onto the board which is no good for mounting in my kit due to space restrictions, so the blue and white wires were soldered on to allow a micro switch to be connected to it.
I hollowed out the relevant areas in the Webley frame and inserted the switch, modifying the trigger part slightly so it acts on it when pulled. The fake resin screw was replaced with a real one to act as the trigger pivot. You can just see the top of the microswitch:
I've found the speaker is a perfect fit in the barrel but will need careful positioning along the length to provide the best sound as the hollow barrel changes the sound depending where you put it.
The battery case will need the four lugs removing for it to fit in the barrel - I suspect these hold it together somehow so i'll probably need to sort that one I chop em off.
That's really cool! :)
Very cool... I might have to send you one to do the same!
Thanks for the update! This is gonna be sweet! .....pew peew pew peew!
Bit more done, extended the speaker and LED wires and have installed both in the barrel. Found a greebly from my box of bits (think it was a gear from a VCR) that I can use as a holder for the LED and will sit at the base of the chrome tube.
Showing LED and holder piece:
Looking down barrel at Speaker:
Chrome tube, LED & holder in position:
Couple of pics (without flash) 'firing':
Attachment 57634 (bit of a HAL impression)
Finally a pic of the rear showing the batt pack:
A quick vid taken on my phone to show initial testing: Boba Fett ESB Blaster SFX test - YouTube
AMAZING Sidewinder!!!!!!!!!!Could you do the same effect on ROTJ version?
Thanks a lot, Leo
Don't see why not, the ROTJ has a smaller muzzle so that might affect the sound a bit.
Drat, I've glued the speaker in already so I can't try it out in one of my ROTJ barrels :doh
You are the man! I am giddy after seeing the video! I think I've watched it 4 times!
Basic construction and all SFX mods completed, sound/light now functions on the trigger. It pretty much looks exactly like my std builds til you pull the trigger ;)
That is outstanding...... and really has got me thinking about doing that to mine..... long overdue..............
Finished. Trigger has been replaced with a metal reinforced one due to overenthusistic testing ;)
soooooo cant wait to get mine. fantastic..
Two more ESB for Louis and UncleFett.
love it,:love cant wait to see it in person, excellet work.:thumbsup
got mine today looks awsome, brilliant work.:thumbsup
A black one for BM to have his wicked way with.
Another for BM
Just sent PP payment for ESB rifle. Thx SAS!
pm sent thanks
This is yours CDub, taken outside, no flash (no sun!).
Given this thread: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/e...eblie-s-45845/
I'll now be offering the new style V8 conrod base disc as an option in my ESB kits.
As seen here:
I'll still offer the pulley front too as I think it's a more interesting looking part (rather than a flat disc) and fits better (no need for it to stick out over edge of breech).
First cast of the new conrod base part with taller axle stub.
Are you able to retro fit the same electronics into an existing EE3? I have a spare one of your Webley lower receiver frames still unused (needs modifying)....
I guess all i'll need is a new top webley receiver/chrome tube? Hmmmmmmm
Would depend on what is glued and what is screwed - is it one I made?
Si, yes it one of your kits from April 2010. The only thing which i've glued on is the Chrome tube. Everything else is screwed for ease of take down and transport...
I can even separate the upper assembly from the lower receiver as it's only a screw which holds the 2 parts together... :)
A finished ESB for a German Fett.
Looks great Sidewinder..love that breech disc :)
Built and basecoat for Bobamaker.
I have sent you a PM about the ESB blaster
SW, do you still make these?
Of course, i've got four on my orders to do list right now.
Another for a US Fett.
Those are sweet, I can't wait until I'm ready to order one. Do you have a sale thread in the cargo hold?
So excited to order one. As soon as I get the funds... :D
Jc27 - I don't have a FS thread in the CH, I tend to get orders via recommendations from folks here and elsewhere (for which I am eternally grateful).
Currently working on another Hasbro'd ESB, here's some pics showing the necessary mods:
Groove dremeled in the barrel to allow LED wires to pass in front of the Speaker (which is a tight fit in the barrel).
Section of breech removed to allow for trigger switch/passage of switch wires.
lever/roller type microswitch in place. Breech block (with section cut out for switch) glued to the frame instead of back of barrel to allow for battery change. Barrel slots on from top and is secured using the pivot screw as normal.
Chrome tube adapter modded to accept LED in centre with four quarter cut outs for sound - speaker is mounted behind this part.
Speaker & LED wiring in place.
Adapter with LED inserted, Front barrel mount glued in place - LED is firing here but ambient light too bright to show it much.
That's more like it - pew pew!
Gonna have to try that out with a Hasbro.
Hasbro'd ESB for a US Fett done. Indistinguishable from my standard ESB until you pull the trigger ;)
Very cool Simon!
Another ESB FX in progress, have cast some steel into the trigger this time for additional strength.
Microswitch was tacked in place with superglue then epoxied for strength.
Looking good! Will this be a kid-proof blaster? :-)
Because the kids like to pull the trigger and I have lost more than one while trooping with my E11!!!
Thanks for the update!
Kid proof is a big ask! However the trigger is steel reinforced and the microswitch is superglued & epoxied in place (will prob add filler round it too). I'd say child resistant :)
More progress, all electronics installed and working.
Anyway, I think I will not let kids play with this one :b
Child resistant will be more than enough!
I'm planning on ordering one over the summer. Stoked.
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! :( .....I missed the postman today and now I have to wait until saturday to get the parcel with my ESB EE3 EFX blaster!!!!! I canīt believe it!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I am the proud owner of the EFX blaster shown a view posts before. I finally I could pick it up from the post office today (actually my wife did) and now, I just do not have the words.......WOOOOOWWWOOOWOWWOOWWOW
This is the absolute awesome and definitive prop!!!. I canīt believe how nice it is. And it is the EFX version, too. It is so LOUD and BRIGHT!!!. I do really recommend this prop and this maker to whoever wants something well done. Thanks sidewinder, you just made my day!
Another ESB for a EuroFett.
Nice! Makes me want to put together an ESB costume just to score one. Great work!
Payment sent for ESB EE3, thanks SAS
PP sent ESB EE-3, Thank you.
ESB Blaster arrived yesterday. Cant stop holding it!!!!!!!!!
Great work, no bubbles, accurate detail, fine paint job...This is a must for all Fett lovers without a doubt.
By the way...Does anyone here know where to buy the leather sling for the ESB Blaster version?
I can vouch for 99centtaco! I have one of his belts and they are really great, and I have heard nothing but good things about his slings. :)
ESB undercoated for Bobamaker.
Another ESB with Hasbro EFX added for a US Fett.
To all those many waiting for kits/builds I am getting through my order list fast as I can, you will get your blaster. Eventually :rolleyes.
I can't wait for mine!!!:)
I got mine last week. Should be finished it by the end of July. Thanks again, Simon!
I got mine today and it is bloody brilliant! Thanks Simon!
Slowly working my way through, a German Fett this time:
