There are circular washers under the piston rods.

What kind of washers are they? In some pics they look kind of like big rubber ones.

I know Prymer13 built his own. Maybe he can chime in here with dimensions and such.

They are actually Revell engine parts, a pully if I recall.
The V-8 conecting rod sits on the flare of the receiver and the other end sits on a rear pully Revell # 104 or 107.

I used the details that I received from WOF and scratch-built some out of some 3mm black pvc tabe. I cut, shaped, sanded, stacked and painted several layers.
