*Update*
Well, I got into the machine shop this morning and managed to modify the pistol grip in way of removing the extra resin that was left behind when the clay was placed to enable the cast to be de-moulded.
So now the grip looks and feels just the real deal...
Once I completed that, I then drilled the holes for the trigger pivot / lower safety clip & the rear hole for the rolled pin to hold the assembly together.
Lastly - I formed the round tube I had turned to length and this is how she looks now... I'm not 100% happy with the main body so I've thought about a new way of doing this to make it better for you all!
all i have to say is WOW!! i dont know what you see to make you unhappy with anything...looks fantastic to me, but i dont have the original so, i have nothing to judge by...but great work, Gav, great work...
hey gav - oh sorry we are in public - Mr Mojo-Fett sir... just stopped by to have a look at wot u are up too
looks very nice dude!
your worry abt the shape of the tube may be being too critical i think. In post #305 - it looks flatter as u say, but looking back at teh oblique shot on post #303 - it looks well elliptical
btw - tahnks to you ; spent last 40 min tryin to get nice pics of this sidearm!! u are gonna be the death of me. oh and you prob got better high def ref piccies than I will ever have
now stop teasing and offer up some of these beauts to the lads and lasses here before they die of anticipation.
hey brother, are these going to be blue? :facepalm what is the actual color of the sidearm? are they going to come that color, or are we going to have to paint this sucka!? and will it come unassembled? like a kit? thanks Gav, once again, awesome...
