OH BOY! Mine was shipped! im so excited i can barely contain myself...this is one of the most exciting things goin on in my life right now..lord,i need to get a life eh? haha!
Got mine done yesterday.
It's a really easy kit to build! Big thanks to Gav for doing all that prep work. :cheers
It just needed some basic sanding on the seams, and it was ready for paint.
I went with Floquil Zinc Chromate primer, which is a nice reddish-brown color that sort of changes depending on what kind of light it's under. I used a plain ol' Gunmetal acrylic paint for the trigger and attached it with a small length of 4mm styrene rod, also painted Gunmetal on the ends. It's just press fit into place. I'm leaving it 'pristine' for now. I can always do some weathering later. I just like the shiny finish on the ali parts.
Here's a couple of shots.
All these pics were taken under the same lighting conditions, so you can see how that Floquil color really can take on a different appearance.
What a great, rare piece to be able to add to my Fett collection! Thanks again for making these available.
Wow! that is pristine and shiny. I like the base color. I almost hated to dirty up my aluminum parts too. They were so nice looking, but I don't think Boba would want something that shiny hanging from his battle uniform.
Got mine today! this piece is OUTSTANDING! even better than the pics make it out to be! Again guys, thanks for doing these i will NEVER need to upgrade this piece! top notch work Mojo!

Been out of town and came home to a nice new blaster!! Thanks guys, this is really GREAT! Going to see if the wife and kids will let me spend a little time building it up today, since it's Father's day and all

Painted mine up using the same primer Superjedi posted, polished up the main body with metal polish, and gave the painted parts a slight weathering. Not sure whether to drybrush some metallic to simulate paint erosion or not.
