ESB Build Question

Mrnelson2

New Hunter
Hi all browsing through the website looking at examples, and there is soooo much time, effort and detail went into these builds, my problem is i thought id have enougth time to build one but in actual fact i dont judging by these excellent examples, and nor do i have equipment to craft or paint either, but i was wondering if you can pay somebody to make a movie like esb build? If so can anyone point me in the rite direction or reccommend anyone i would like it to look as realistic as possible :)

Thanks

Read, read, then read some more. As realistic as possible needs better defining as well. NOT trying to be a downer, but you will have to consider timeframe, budget, and intent as well. Are you planning on wearing it, or just a
display? What is your body size? You've chosen the proven best Boba theme(ESB)so you have a good starting point, Plenty of folks here can answer specific questions, but I'd start by reading all of the sticky threads in the costume and helmet sections.

Greetings MrNelson2. The ESB Boba Fett is one of the more complicated costume builds, but can also be the most enjoyable. If you plan on building one yourself, like Syllander said, read up and do your research and plan on spending a lot of time and a LOT of money in the process. My build is going on almost 2 years now!

On the other hand you may get extremely lucky and score an entire kit from someone in the cargo hold. It's somewhat rare, but it happens, even rarer if it happens to fit your height, weight and build.

Whatever your decision, you are certainly in the right place here on TDH. Always feel free to ask any questions and Best of luck to you.

Hi thanks for reply, I would like to wear it, but would be more of a display as would only wear now and again, my body size is L or XL on top depending on how tight of fit the flight suit and flack would be, and L for bottom as id be 36 waist, havent got my exact measurements tho, the only reason why i was thinking of getting someone else to make was because i dont think i have proper tools and painting/weathering skills, that was main reason as looking at the work people have done which is amazing

Thanks

Many thanks for the reply, i like this build better, i think its more colour scheme and how it comes accross

Thanks

hey bud.
I'm the worst craftsman on the dented helmet. lol. so i know how you feel.
But i've had tons of fun with this build and anytime I run into trouble I ask the people here. Some of the stuff seems so daunting but once you start to figure it out it's not that bad.
I'm also fortunate enough to have a friend who's here on TDH that gives me a hand with my build.

Some pieces are really easy to do and others are hard. You could consider having SOME stuff made for you and building other pieces yourself to save some money. Just stick around the forums and read read read.

If you're looking to buy a complete set..google bobamaker. His stuff is outstanding but he's very pricey and also it's a long wait.

good luck!

Bobamaker can make u a full costume between $6000 & $8000 US dollars,it probably will take him over a year before he would even start it.Not sure what your budget is? Or time frame is? But going this route will take away from the whole experience of piecing together a complete suit and all the benefits of the site.

Hi im not in no rush for this costume, that is true about benefits of TDH, the only reason i would be looking to buy is that i dont think i have tools to do what other people have done

thanks

RS does do them, long wait as to be expected in this hobby though.
This is a hobby/obsession that tends to be better without strict timeframes. Personally I recommend going the route starchild recommended though and see what pieces you could do yourself and commission the harder aspects, like painting the lid/armor/jetpack.
