ESB Boba Fett Build WIP

I've started an ESB Boba build and I'm making all the soft parts myself from scratch. Here are some photos of the work in progress. The jumpsuit is almost done. Based on Graeme's recommendation, I attached the neckseal to the jumpsuit.

Here is a shot with the flak vest.

And here is a pic with the cape. I followed TK-409's video tutorial to do the weathering and it came out nice. I may do some more stains and marks.

The jumpsuit is almost finished but was wondering if anyone can help me with the thigh pockets. In Wizardofflight's tutorial on TDH has them measuring 5.25" x 6.5". I'm 5'11" and about 215 pounds and I'm thinking I may need to scale the pockets up to suit my build. I was wondering if anyone close to my build could give me a hand by taking the measurements of your pouches. Thanks!

Overall, I'd say looks great for scratchbuilt! The one nitpick is the length of the vest. It needs to be a little shorter so there's a noticeable gap between the top of your ammo belt and the bottom of the vest. However, I'd hold off on any alterations until you actually have the cod/kidney on to make sure the girth belt and ammo belt aren't also a little high.

Awesome! this is gonna be good! ;-) Like Madmartigan said, adjust the vest when you got the armor. Definatly gonna be checking this more often!

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the vest is too long and will be making the alterations. I also noticed the thigh pockets were a tad high, so I moved them 2 inches lower to prevent them from colliding with the belt pouches.

My FP bucket and armour has come in, and I'm in the process of trimming and prepping for paint.

For the flak vest, I decided to make my own pattern (but I used the TDH tutorial for making the cap sleeves). I took an old sweatshirt of mine apart and used it to make the pattern for the front and back.

Oh and FYI to make the Wookie braids, I bought hair extensions from a store that sells wigs and weaves. Cheaper than doll hair from a craft store and more authentic looking.

Time for an update. The armour/gaunts are FP, the jetpack and boots are MOW. I've done all the painting, weathering and sewing myself. A buddy of mine is painting my FP helmet for me. I'm in the process of painting the gauntlets and shoulders right now. I'm still waiting for a few parts to arrive. I still need an EE-3 blaster. Then it will be time to get all the armour attached.

Thanks guys. It's coming together. I did some weathering to the armour. I also removed the BM chest decal and hand-painted the crest on.

Thanks. I've since switched to Woodman's horse hair braids. They are pretty nice. I bought Bobamaker's decals to use on the armour, but decided instead to turn them into stencils and hand paint the crests on, which I think look more authentic.
