ESB Blaster clamps

For a quite a while I was wondering where I did see those type of clamps before. Grabbing my old angle grinder I noticed I had those all along. Those are VERY close to what I see on the real blaster. Those clamps are welded on to the protector, but can be removed. They come in different sizes, and the newer type clamps have different systems to secore the protector, but the older type clamps match those from the movie gun. I used my flash tube to see how they fit, and they are right on when it comes to diameter. What do you think?

That looks very close, question is: Do these clamps fit around the barrel of a Webley flare gun?

i'm pretty sure they do. unfortunately i do not have exact measurements of a barrel at this time to confirm. but i found a real webley and i'm hoping i can work out a deal shortly. in the picture you can see that there is some room left, especially if you cut off that protective shield.

gotcha'....I see it now. It looks like a good fit, but I somehow still think that with such an obscure, generic part and such poor reference and no original peice to source the clamps may never be found.:(

Real Webley is 49mm OD at the rear clamp position, front one just goes round the flashtube - 38mm.

thanks for the info. i don't want to start a fight, but on all the pics i have it looks like the front clamp goes around the barrel as well, hard to tell though. but either way, those fit. and like i said, depending on the manufacturer they seem to come in different sizes.
now i'm wondering what they placed on top of the clamps to mount the scope. i got some type of honeywell switch/connector with the flash tube that seems to be somewhat close to what i'm seeing in the photographs I have.

ya thats always been an ongoing debate about the clamp position. i likem both but if i HAD to pic a side i still think its around the gun. dont really matter though it only adds about a half inch to the total length of the rifle.

Sidewinder is correct--it goes around the flash tube for the front clamp. It helps keep it in the barrel.

i guess we should restart arguing about the position. if i position that clamp on the flash tube alone, it won't aid in holding the flash tube in the barrel, sorry. and if it would only go around the flash tube, the clamp would be flush with the barrel, and not appear raised like we can see in the pictures. the clamp might sit halfway on the barrel and halfway on the tube, but then the clamp would not even touch the flash tube.
so it is my opinion that the clamp sits on the very end of the barrel and the flash tube is secured by other means inside the barrel.

well looking at the cloudcity hallway promo pics i take back what i said. it dose look like its round the flash tube. SAS's builds look just like it in length given that webleys only have a 10inch barrel. so hes right imo.
