Ammo Belt ESB ammo belt, was it white vinyl painted brown?

I'm asking this question not only because of some very little, but visible white damage on the belt.May be the super trooper belt converted to brown???
I also ask because i'm in the process of putting one together.
now the one i'm doing will be made from black faux leather/vinyl , and here's my work so far 1st boba ammo belt.jpg
I have plans to paint this belt a dark brown, so iv'e done some samples on a left over pouch cover/flap
so here is a pic of thatpaint test 1.jpg i think the darkest one? what do you think? i dont know why i even tried the top two colours
im also looking at some images form the gallery and the stitching looks (to me ) to be a tan kind of colour and not white, witch i see a lot of on some belts
around. i'm using the black vinyl because its hard to find a right brown faux leather where i am, plus i had this lying around anyway and it's my first shot at
doing an ammo belt, anyhoo...opinions, criticisms , comments welcome.

Ok so i finished up the belt last night, the stitching color is a bold choice i know, but i just don't see it as white stitching on the ESB belt
the stitching work was done by a local seamstress, and i think it came out real good,

I think you did a fantastic job Brother!! I personally favor this vinyl look, imo it comes the closest to the screen used belt.
You captured the look and with a bit of weathering it should look spot on. You may even want to dry brush white in the corners and seams, just my three cents.

Here’s a belt I’m lucky to have from METALLBOY, made using vinyl with aluminum boxes
Pic Is a bit blurry sorry I’m at workL only pick I have

Thanks Syper, I too favour the vinyl look although the vinyl may not stand up to the test of time or trooping. You're
also correct about the weathering, so I'll add some maybe over the weekend, nice belt you got there too.

More vinyl belts. here's pics from a TDH member who's name I can’t remember at the moment, but again imo it looks more accurate then bulky leather belts.

this is a very well made belt by METALLBOY and i love the fact that it looks beat/worn. I weathered it a bit and dry brushed white details

All cool belts, the real leather belts can look bulky. If I could find the right color vinyl I would offer a small run of these. Remember I did have to paint my belt as it was black vinyl. So doing a run of ones just like mine would be too labour some and would not be cost effective.
