I can tell you that the Vest from Evolution will be way diff than the one that LadySew4Us sells. I have a Evo suit and Vest as well as a LS4U suit and Vest. Material wise...Debbi does AWESOME work more ACCURATE than Evo's suit. Cost would be about the same but the turn around time for Evo is about 1 month after payment!

aside from the stuff pointed out above, evo toys guy is known forum poster too; so, despite his delivary times, he certainly isnt a fly-by-nighter

I have some of his metal parts. i like them, I was able to get a reasonable discount by doing a best offer auction with him

    Re: ebay

I'm sorry to bump this one up, but I've been doing alot of researching and while looking at Evolution's shop on ebay, I saw he had a full ROTJ suit for sale minus the Helm, Boots and Blaster which is fine as I REALLY want to get the ESB Helm from Bobamaker anyways....so my question is...

While I really want to go with Bobamaker for everything - the entire suit - I worry about the price. If Evo's ROTJ suit is high quality (as high as you can with plastic vs. fiberglass), then that might be an avenue I may have to explore if I can't figure out a way to go full-on Bobamaker.

I'm in real need of advice on this one. I think I'm spoiled by staring at Bobamaker's site for the past week... lol

    Thanks in advance!

    Re: ebay

I am biased as I love the look of BM stuff too! but tbh I am in the same situation as you. only diff is I am based in UK and dont have to deal with exchange rate or international delivary!

I am saving up for BM - cos I heard its bees knees, and for once we have a local armourer! I am sure he does offer discounts on bulk buys - just email him. In addition; great guy ;D

my other issue is - the 2-3 weeks between ordering, handing money over and stuff arriving is always nerve wrecking for me. The delivary times issues with Evo (soz mate; I am sure ur quality is good!) would make it a big no no for me - as I would prob stress myself into a heart attack

    my 2 pennies

    Re: ebay

Yeah. I get nervous like that too. I have already contacted BM and have started talking what I want and how much it'll run me. With BM, the prices and all that are in USD so that's no big deal....it's just...hard to justify (not to anyone but myself - my wife always says go for it!). LOL

I know for sure I want the ESB Helm from BM. No doubt I'm going with him on that for sure. It's incredible looking! The rest of the outfit (that I want in ROTJ) is where I'm trying to weigh my options the most. Especially given that I haven't the time, patience, nor talent to paint it all up on my own! hah!
I don't want anyone to get offended or slighted, be it BM or Evo or anyone. I'm just trying to weigh my options as best I can given the information I am slowly but surely finding out.

    Thanks!

    Re: ebay

Not to bum you out, but Daz (BM) has a turn around time (i.e., build time) of 10-12 weeks right now. With you being 'local', shipping time may be reduced, but the build time is prolly the same whether you're UK, US, Timbuktu, etc.

That being said...HE DELIVERS!!! WITHOUT FAIL. You would NOT have to stress at all about receiving your goods. If you're heart (and skyrocket) can handle it, go with BM.

I've bought metal parts from EVO and they were good. Not had a problem with him at all.

As for BMs stuff, it is amazing, my Fett is mostly BM and it's worth the wait.

    Re: ebay

Yeah, the wait on anything is always nerve-wracking, but I'll deal! lol
Like I said, I'm definately going to go with BM for the ESB helm. I absolutely love it! As soon as I hear back from him, I'm going to start setting that one up. I'm just hemming and hawing about the rest, and to be honest, if Evo is accurate, well made, quality stuff, then simply for the price reasons I'd be crazy not to go with that at this point.

The toughest part is getting the absolute best quality / accurate stuff you can for the absolute best price you can afford / justify.

Thanks so much for discussing this with me. I appreciate the input!

    Re: ebay

Ok. More searching done and I found some people that did have sizing issues with Evo - armor pieces coming too small, sizing the vest / softparts too small - and now I'm paranoid. lol
So my next question is, until I can get CargoHold access that is, is where would the best bet be to hit up for quality, finished, accurate suit (minus the helm - that's going to be ordered from BM) at around the same pricing Evo's got posted.
