hey guys here on TDH, I recently fixed the Boba helmet since it was morphed using the hot water method that Jinto and some other members here suggested. so....here it is.

Show us were it warpt , the 95 arnt that bad out of all the other years theyt were the best and the size wasnt to much smaller than the real thin ,
how ever the ones that are made from a white plastic are better matterial , but the size is the same ,
Looking good. With some cutting and some paint, you can make that a really nice helmet...
that looks pretty darn good for a dp95 at this point.
I wish I could get it repainted but.....my parents won't let me....sad I know lol
I'm still gonna buy Jinto's Boba helmet, but...I've decided to try my hand at repainting the DP 95. Except..I don't know what sort of hobby paint colors I would need...I've got a a creamy color to repaint the ears so far, but I'm not sure what shade of red, green/s and silver/dark silver I need to use..
EDIT: I aim to do an ESB color scheme and I prefer to use colors that can be removed by water and a rag and also could be applied with a paint brush
i don't know what all kinds of paint you have in aus, but i'm pretty sure jinto could help you figure that out. though spray paint would probably work out a lot better than brush on paint.
spray paint is harder to use, so that's why I prefer to use paint on
Don't be afraid of spray paint mate. It's much easier to use and will give you a waaaaaay better finish in the end. That's my opinion of course but there's a heap of others who'll back me up on that.
There's heaps of colours in Australia available from the hardware shops (bunnings etc) that will work just fine for your purpose.

I've used spraypaint before...and I suck at it...the paint goes all gloopy..
The brush-on will give you alot more visible blemishes like brushstrokes etc than a few drips (which you won't get if you do it in thin layers)
But each to their own, I've seen some good paint-jobs done with a brush and I'm sure you'll give it a good go.
I aim to set it to a "Clean" (no scratches) version, and then add in the necessary scratches and stuff to turn it into an ESB helmet

can someone guide me on how to do this hot water method tried using the search for a few days now and cant seem to find this tutorial
I didn't use any hot water method. What I did was turn the oven on to its lowest setting, stuffed the helmet with towels, and shoved it in there. After a minute or two, I pulled it out, reshaped it, and stuck it in the freezer. After repeating this a few times, I ended up with a lid that looked like this (Mine's actually a '96):

This picture is after painting and visor replacement, of course. Just make sure to leave it in the oven long enough to get flexible, but not long enough to melt. Also, place it on a towel while inside so it doesn't melt or misshape the bottom to the bars.
EDIT: I also brush-painted my helmet, Meta, so you can get an idea of what it might look like in the end.

Wow, that's a great looking dp95. What visor did you used? Iam scared to dremel the original visor and mess up the mold :/
leave it in the sun for 10-15 minutes, then get a hobby knife and cut the visor out- you should be fine
