Does this fit my frame well enough?

I've finished up the prep work for my MR premium helmet, just concerned that it's dwarfing my frame now. I put on my motorcycle jacket to sort of provide the illusion of padding I think the armor will provide, and without foam in the helmet to allow it to sit properly I guess I'm just concerned it won't look correct. uploadfromtaptalk1435696529474.jpguploadfromtaptalk1435696551215.jpguploadfromtaptalk1435696572745.jpg

Front to back it looks fine (with simulated padding), it just looks too tall to me. Maybe I'm just being insecure.

it's a bit big on you, but with a little padding in the top it should look just fine. don't forget how much of a bobble head boba was in the movies, once you're armored up you're going to look like a bamf.

Yes. It is almost impossible to truly tell the true size until you get the armor on. The armor makes an enormous difference in how the helmet looks. It is all about the proportions.

Yeah..When I had the helmet on, I looked really small by comparison...the armor really filled everything else out. Let the same way with my TK. Just be glad you can see through that visor properly :)

I was actually just thinking this. With my old TK helmets they were really wobbly. I even have a side by side comparison with a couple other helmets, but when I but the Boba helmet on me it just looks huuuuuuuuuuge. lol

I think your good. Like was said, the armor really fills you out and nails the look, i think you'll look great. I have to work to just be at, what i consider, my personal weight max. limit to be Fett..be happy man, be happy lol

Thanks guys, I'll get some padding in there and once I get the armor and soft parts it should look about right. I also looked at some reference pics and front to back it looks spot on to some ESB frames. For reference I'm around 130lbs (and SLOWLY climbing...) and 5'9".

I think I last saw 130lbs when I was a Freshman playing high school football. I believe once you get it painted and the visor on it will make a huge difference as well. I had a helmet without the visor and it just look weird.

Haha, my metabolism is nuts. I can't get enough food in me with my budget to counteract it. :p

Cat,
I just wanted to share with you what I did with my helmet since I had a similar issue. Like you, the helmet seemed huge when I put it on. It was wobbly and shifted everytime I moved my head. In addition, when it was on, my eyes were lined up near the top frame of the visor line. Here is what I did to address that issue. I bought this helmet padding from Amazon called LS2 Helmet Liner for $20. It is suppose to be odor resistant and moisture wicking. The padding is not super thick but definitely better than regular soft foam. I cut off the hard plastic liner and made 2 cuts on the helmet liner to butterfly it so it would fit to the contours of the helmet better.

I just added industrial velcro inside the helmet and liner to secure it:

This made a big difference. 1) The helmet fit securely and comfortably, no more wobble or shifting when moving 2) the padding lifted the helmet enough to give me back my neck 3) the padding lined up my eyes dead center in the visor to see easier and best of all. I think it made me taller!!! I'll take every inch I can!! :lol:

I hope this helps you out bud.

Im 5'7 195lbs. I wear 7 1/4 hat size if that helps

My Helmet is GMH
W = 9 1/8"
D = 10 3/8"
H = 9 3/4"

Your MR Helmet is close to size comparison of the GMH and smaller then the FPH from what I have read. I went with the GMH because it is suppose to fit smaller heads and look better on smaller statue, so I think you are along the right track with your helmet choice for your size.

What are your dimensions if you don't mind me asking? Height/ weight?

Looking at the picture now, between your GMH and my MR Premium and our similar size, mine just looks wide to me from left to right. I think it would be in my best interest to switch helmets.

Just FYI, I have so much padding in the top of my dome that I can't see out the eyeslit of the visor. That's what handlers are for! :lol: I think that's what you need to to to get more of the neck between your helmet and chest. That bobble head look with a bunch of neck is one of those things that makes or breaks a Fett costume for me.

Necronaut, exactly. I attempted to add a bit more padding to show my neck more and that made my eyes line up with the bottom portion of the visor and I had difficulty seeing out. You got to find that balance.
