Curtis's ROTJ Boba Fett

V1point0

New Hunter
Hey everyone, I've been working on this for the past couple of years gathering parts, painting, etc. I haven't posted much on here, but this forum has been very helpful and the search feature has been wonderful. Thanks to all the people who have posted how-to's, tutorials and lots of pictures; you have been good to me. Also thanks to all the great prop makers here as I have acquired many great items from you.

Here is where I sit right now. Aside from weathering the soft parts and some fit and finish I'm almost complete. The parts I'm trying to source are a pair of boots and the darts for the right gauntlet. Thus far I have been unlucky. If any of you could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

Thanks for looking and please provide me with some constructive feedback on things I'm missing or have not done right; your eyes might see things that mine may have missed.

Since I haven't received any comments I thought I would post some more pictures. Here are some of me test fitting the suit again. I have to fix some things and still attach some others. Thoughts?

Hi curtis,

Nice Fett. Lookin' great! Just a piece of advice on the Gauntlet Darts...I just got a set on ebay from a guy with the screen name theGoldenbrick. They were Lego Harpoons from one of their undersea sets. He sells them in sets of 2. I bought 2 sets and it cost me under $6.00 with shipping...Just a suggestion. I think they look pretty good for lego. do a search for Lego Sea Harpoons, and it should come up if he still has any. Good Luck. I got the tip from the Bounty Hunter's Guild Site.

My boots I bought from another member here a while back, keep an eye on the cargo hold, boots come up for sale somewhat regularly..good Luck finishing your suit!

Thanks guys. I'll have to get in touch with those folks to get some parts. -- Good thought on the legos, I would have never of thought of that.

I def need to weather the soft goods, but I did weather the armor bits but the pictures don't do it justice. Once I get everything done I'll have to get some pro pics done and see how those turn out. But a little more weathering couldn't hurt...:)

i got my darts from mojofett. no idea if he's doing them still, but it's a start. i think serenity did some too, and russrep is also a source.

i think it's looking awesome. suit's gotta be a whole lot dirtier but you know that already. it also seems like the pants are a bit bunchy at the ankles. it could be just the lack of boots/spats, but they may be either too long or too loose.

I think your suit looks great! But yes you need to weather it more . And when you weather it think about what would really get beaten up when in battle.

Thanks for the feedback thus far!(y)(y)

I really appreciate yalls help. I was going to wait until I got the boots to weather the stuff since I'm also working on some other costumes too.

Stormtrooperguy - I followed your way of painting using masking fluid. I still love doing it that way as it gives a 3 dimensional look. Keep rockin!

I also need to give some props to MarrowSun, TK439, Bobamaker, Sidewinder and Woodman for their outstanding parts and attention to detail.

Curtis

Nice suit, though I'd stay away from the Lego IMO, it your already this far making a "accurate" suit. Why slack on the details.

...read my sig:)
