Costumebase Boba Fett Flightsuit

Costumebase has recently come out with this. I have to be honest: I don't like it at all. It looks like there was an attempt made, but details are in all the wrong places. The shin pockets ware way too high, sleeves are too low. this could have been a great inxpensive alternative. It would not have been 100%, but would have definitely been passable. Here's the link:

Actually it's not that bad... sorry to say? :facepalm
Ok the shin tool pockets need to be moved and the 'outer' sleeves shortened (no big deal). It could work out for a great base jumpsuit... of even a custom Mando... just my 2p

yeah, it is close but no cigar. shame too. too much work to move the sleeves or i might consider it. moving the shin pockets is easy enough.

not sure i follow you on taking up the hem of the short sleeve... there is decorative stitching on the short sleeve opening, I dont wanna fold that over...

i could unstitch the arm and move it up... its hard to judge what i would do without one in hand...

Yeah your right... you would have to undo the stitch detail / fold over and re-do the detail.
Seems allot less work than taking the sleeve off?
my comments are only that 'if' your not too bothered about cannon accuracy then it should be a good starter suit?
(I am no-way affiliated with the seller either )

yeah its closer than some i've seen... though it looks like its closer to an AT-AT or scanner suit in color lol.

I might just save it on up for the bobamaker version. or maybe by the time i need it ladysews will be less bogged down haha ;( I'm not in a hurry, I am gonna finish my helmet and armor and lose some weight first anyway.

I too will go for one of the flightsuits sold by one of our reputable members here...BM's do look great!
I also need to finish off a few other items before I need one... When does it ever end... *Never* I think is the answer... ;)

from what i've heard, costumebase does revise things based on feedback. someone should email them :)

done already lol.

told him i would buy one if a few things were fixed. even if its just to get me by until i bought a nicer one.

one to leave on a mannequin eventually, basically.

i just got his x wing pilot flight suit and it's REALLY well done. i think there's potential for his stuff to be good... just needs work. never be the best, but for the price, it's decent stuff.

one thing to note. do NOT do buy it now! always do best offer! i've offered as little as 1/2 the asking price and gotten my stuff.

that sorta changes everything... a $100 suit gets looked at a lot closer than a $50 one.

I've never heard of them before, thanks for pointing them out. While the boba flightsuite needs some changes, everything else actually looks pretty decent for the price. If you aren't going for perfect screen accuracy there seems to be some nice stuff for a good price.

Its hard to say without it being on someone. My suit hangs all wrong on one of my manequins.

Its always amazed me that some of the people that do these ventures, have enough foresight to see a market, but not enough insight to take the time to do it right.

Maybe if someone were to mail him about the errors. I mean.. if those (minor) errors were fixed, I wouldn't mind owning one of those jumpsuits. The colour and material looks pretty good, great price. I wouldn't mind buying one now just so I can fix the errors myself.

technically speaking there has to be a certain percentage of difference between an unlicenced reproduction (especially mass produced and high profile such as ebay) and the real thing in order to avoid C&D. Don't know if that's the case here, but it could account for some of it.

I have... and as you say for the price not bad even fixed by ourselves? ;)
