COMPLETED "4 year old" Shiny Boba Armor, Jet Pack, Gauntlets & "Bucket sculpt"

Merc's Invade KidsFaire 2009! Solus Keer & Bob'ika from clan Shonare Vhekedla Invade KidsFaire coming in through the back entrance "as any good bounty hunter should" of the Jobing.com arena in Glendale Az. home of the Phoenix Cardinals, They rolled the grass out so the event could be held on the main floor, it was HUGE! There were kids every where being entertained with Camel's, Pony's, Inflatable Slide's & Play Lands, a live stage with the Kids Bop singers, Pirates, Cow Boy's & even a place to mine for gold!

Meeting up with Jango & Collecting our first bounty on Dora & Boot's, We made our way onto the event floor where we were swarmed by Star Wars fans! They couldn't get enough of us we were a big hit. Every kid that saw Bob'ika was so envious and Loved his kit.

When we caught up with everyone @ the booth Bob'ika was stuck on Darth Vader & with the two together it made Me smile thinking this is "just like in the movies!" it was epic. We hung out & took pictures with fans as Solus Keer made kids cry while Bob'ika was putting smiles on Everyone... This was a very exciting event, the 501st, RL & the Merc's all trooped today, we put our costumes on and joined forces to entertain, excite, intrigue, frighten & even stimulate the minds of kid's & Parents alike. I think our future event's with our Vode in these other groups will be something to get involved in!

But every bounty hunter needs some R&R so Bob'ika went and enjoyed the event after a while..

Those are sweet pics. Great job on the Mandalorian costume. I'm actually working on my kids helmets today. This Bondo stuff is a pain to get off. ;-)

Are you making copies of the helmet for others? I bought a child size helmet for my 5-y/o but it was too small, so I'm on the hunt.

in 79 my dad helped me make a robot costume, your son will have this great memories all his life. good work pops

Hey One End!... Cool build!

I don't know if this was addressed earlier in the thread...

Where did you get the foam sheets for your son's armor?

How did the painted armor hold up?

How did you shape it? Did it retain its shape?

How did you attatch it to the suit?

I'm going to start a Jango for my 10 year old and want something that can flex. He plans to wear it at CV and to school on Halloween. So I want it to be soft and somewhat pliable.

Thank you!

I just saw this thread, and I have to say it is freaking awesome. To make a costume like that for your son is just really awesome. I can't imagine how it feels for a child of that age to dress up as Boba Fett (I know how it feels to be a 26 year man, he he he ). I hope to make the children I have some day Star Wars costumes like this(y)
