Complete parts listing?

I've looked, trust me, so if this is a repeated post, I apologize in advance.

Has there been a complete, and I mean COMPLETE, parts breakdown of each and every piece of these costumes (ESB, ROTJ)? I mean a list that has the part name, what it was in the real world, and where to get it now? Like this--

ESB BLASTER: WWI Webley and Scott No. 1 Mark "1" flare pistol. ASI 4x20" scope. 4 Molex Connectors - AMP part number1-163035-0 (6 pin)

And that's all I know, actually,

If it's fabricated by someone on the board, who makes it and for how much?

Like we know where to get the helmet now, but who makes the most screen accurate other pieces? I mean, I see boots and gloves by 100 different people, jet pack kits, dental tools-- aahhhh!!! Overwhelming! I think a resource like that would be awesome.

Did I just miss it?

Thanks!

No, there is no such list officially.

MojoTurbo is/was working on something for RotJ, but that's just his take on it, not something officially endorsed by the board.

We Fetts tend to like research. There is a reason for that, not just being jerks. If someone just hands you a shopping list, you don't really know what you are getting. What if the list is wrong? How do you know it wasn't compiled by a vendor who wants you to buy his/her stuff?

All of the information is here in some form or another, but it takes some time investment to get there.

As far as vendors on the board, this is an age old question. We will not provide a seller list for the simple fact that selling this stuff is a violation of intellectual property rights. TDH does not want to be associated with that sort of thing officially. If individuals choose to share their work that is up to them. But the board officially distances itself from all transactions.

STGuy, thanks for the response! I completely understand about the rights issues as I used to work for "The Man" in question. :)

But seriously, how is there a board dedicated to this character and not a single, central database resource about what it was made out of? Like the greeblies on the gauntlets? Are they calculator buttons or what?! Which calculator? If I started putting this "master list" together, would there be any interest in helping me out by anyone out there? A parts database of the REAL parts, not the fan stuff, and where it was on the suit? I'd happily host it on my own site if we'd all like (sort of like the Parts of Star Wars, but more in-depth for BF only).

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

something i meant to restate from my prior post since the idea didn't really get through.

the answer to that question about calculator buttons is answered on the board. as is what's in his pockets, etc...

but, in having to search for them, it's forcing people to spend the time to research the suit and become part of the community, vs coming in, getting the shopping list, and going away.

is it a sort of hazing? in a way, i think it is. do i disagree with it? not really.

all of the information is put out there, but the current layout forces a certain degree of research and interaction with the rest of the board that would be absent if it was too easy.

if you guys look at the top of this page you'll see a tab marked "Wiki"
if you click on the tab marked "Wiki" it will take you to the "Wiki"
if you click on the "found parts" section of the "Wiki", it will take you to the list of, well... found parts

here is a direct link for those that might not be able to follow the directions I listed above

Also, if you just need to know what it takes to complete a fett, go check out the CRLs for Fett on the 501st. The other thing to remember for vendors is if this list was made, it would be like endorsing that one seller and hurting new vendors for a certain part. I would also suggest reading through people's build threads.
