Collar/back plate connection

New Hunter
I had a disaster yesterday and after weeks of re spraying and fixing i managed to shatter yes shatter my collar armour, i have no idea what it was made from but it was clear ! Anyway i made myself a new piece today and not a bad job if i say so myself........ i made this one longer than my broken one as i want to connect the collar and back plate together as it should be BUT i can't seem to find a clear enough pic showing this so not sure exactly how it goes together.
Can some help me out and show me what it looks like, i'm almost finished my Fett now.

Hey. I haven't done it yet but:

Looks like it attaches with the shoulder studs. Like a screw from underneath the armor up through the collar and the backplate into the bottom of the shoulder stud. This image (if the link doesn't work) is in the Gallery, Magic of Myth section, 12-16-2001, page 7. Some more pics in there as well!

Hope this helps.

spot on cheers for that, don't know how i missed that pic.

Glad to hear you fixed the collar mate, and seems that your sorted now on the attachment method :D
And if you want to be super accurate, the cod and kidney plates are also attached together the same way with a metal stud on each side.

I'm trying to make it look as good as i can, it's not easy. Just need to curve the collar more to meet the back plate but i'm getting there.

I have seen some posts scattered thoughout here that they are made from a wide variety of things. Wood, Keyboard keys, metal etc. Search for Shoulder Studs and you will get a ton of information!
