Collar attach to vest?

Howdy brothers --

I was test fitting my gear last evening with my jetpack, when I discovered that the collar is a little tight to my neck (wasn't the case before the added weight of the JP). With this, has anyone attached their collar piece to their vest? I thought attaching it may keep collar forward enough (and off my neck), but wasn't sure it would work as the vest doesn't provide much in terms of support (in other words, it may just get pulled back by the weight of the JP as well).

Thanks for any insights.

Not sure that would help you much. I guess you could move the collar forwards to at least stop it from digging in to your throat. What kind of jetpack harness do you use? A more likely fix is to get one of the steel frame harnesses that better distributes the weight of the JP.

I should have mentioned -- I actually have a steel frame harness from BBF. It's possible I don't have it positioned/tightened correctly and the weight isn't being distributed onto the harness itself. I'll give it another go this evening and see if I can get the harness tighter to my torso.

Thanks for the feedback, Loc.

And I should have given full disclosure myself and said I don't have one of them (yet). But it's what I have read others say is the main benefit of having one. It's not rocket science to imagine it being true either, as anyone who's carried a heavy backpack should know.

Best of luck! :)
