Childs ROTJ Boba Fett Build

TrooperD

New Hunter
Hi everyone, thought it time to put something back into this forum after searching and gathering as much info as possible for my sons Fett build.
Ive been trooping around with the UKG for a couple years now and wanted to get my boys into it all too, and decided on a Boba and Jango build for them.
They won't be screen accurate but I hope you'll agree they end up pretty good all the same ;)

Started off with 4mm ABS sheet and tried my hand at the armour.

Used Wizardoflight templates for these and adjusted the sizes to suit on photoshop...

Link to WOL templates, these saved a lot of time, thanks ;)

...thinks it fits pretty well?

Built up the colours using vaseline to mask off each layer.

Grey primer - silver - high build primer yellow - green...

....once cured, took a scotch pad to the whole surface and take the shine off the paint then add some flicks of black for weathering.

Heres the knee armour...

...the dart tubes are lengths of 8mm air pipe with 10mm pipe rings over them.
The pointy bit is a wooden dowel sharpened and the mounts for the darts are wood blocks which are then filled with catty and sanded to shape.

So here's the flack jacket....

Really happy with how its turning out :D

After seeing me tackle building my Boba for the past 6 months or so, my son is begging to start one of his own (he's 7), so I'll be watching this closely! Fantastic work, man!
