For those that have seen my boards before, these are a new, single chip (PIC micro controller) design, as well as a new component layout.

That looks pretty sweet man :cheers

Is that a 4 AA bat pack ? And I can't tell for sure, is that an On/Off switch ?

Can the bat lead be made longer if needed, or would we need to customize that?

Thanks,

FP

Yes, the battery pack houses 4 AA batteries and has an on/off switch. I can make the power cord as long as you want (within reason).

The dimensions of the of the board its self is approximately 7cm x 4cm. The bottom segment's characters are 1cm x 8mm. The lights are spaced 8mm apart from the top of the segments to the bottom of the top lights. The total thickness is about 1cm.

Yes, these are the ones I sell on eBay.

Yes, I can still make the deluxe version. That version is basically the same as what's pictured above with the exception of larger lights accross the top. You can see some examples at http://www.fettronics.com. Note that the ones shown on my site are of the old design, but you should be able to get an idea about the size difference of the top lights.

The deluxe has more accurate larger lights on top.

I received my Deluxe chest light with new PIC micro-controller and it's fantastic! The LED displays are bright and the sequencing is spot on! Nice job Jon and thanks! (y);)

can anyone list suggestions on mounting this board to the armor, I own one of these and I'm going to try and tackle this project this weekend.

cheers.

I don't own one of these boards..but I've seen someone make a Sintra 'frame' from 3mm to create a flat/level surface to mount the board? ;)
At least thats what I'm gonna do? the Armour does not allow direct application...

Thank you TD2253. I'm glad you like it!

Bountyone, my light slots are covered by a tinted film, so my lights rest right up against it. I just taped it down with electrical tape so I could remove it if I needed to. A touch of hot glue at each corner should make it a more permanent mount.

Mojo-Fett's Sintra frame sounds like a good idea too. Maybe something that the board could slide in to?
