Busted Rocket

Hello to all

Seeing everyone with their Fetts at Celebration V got me motivated to get back to building my Fett. I had aquired a jetpack a few months ago with a broken rocket. I want to fix it up but have no idea what to do/use. I believe the rocket is made out of resin.

Thanks for the help in advance:)

mandosolider has the ticket! Get either a wooden dowel, or better yet, got to home depot and get an aluminum rod, then drill holes in both the top and bottom sections of the rocket. Be sure to drill the hole larger than the thickness of the rod! This will allow room for the glue and allow a bit of "wiggle" room for proper re-alignment of the two halves. Gorilla glue is great and would certainly work, but I prefer two part epoxy (the kind you get at Wal-Mart). Pour epoxy in both holes, insert your support rod, align the halves and then set the rocket upright (not on its side) to allow it to dry.

That sounds familiar Art...I just repainted mine yesterday, go with Arts metal idea but take it a step forward and get some all thread, just a length of bolt thats all thread longer than the missile, have it go all the way into the main body of the jetpack and then u can secure the missile and have it removable

Yeh Chris suggested that to me at CV...but I didnt have a drill to make that happen....JB weld worked good enough for me its all sorted now and feels sturdy enough

I have a threaded rod inside my rocket (check my buildup thread)... I must have hit the rocket 20 times when I wore my Boba at CV and it didn't move... the paint scratched, but the rocket was solid.
