Okay so they may not be entierly canon but I can't pay 100 bucks for shoes right now. I got these and will be building my own pair up. What do you think for a base to work with?
Got these boots in the mail yesterday...they are pretty cool and after looking at them real close and comparing them to screenies of the actual boots I think I can pull it off making them look pretty good. First step will be to work on the soles a little bit...not flat enough...Nasty might be right, pry one of the heel layers off.
Then a little rubbing with sand paper to ruff them up to look like cloth a bit instead of leather. Some primer, paint, and trim and the toe spikes and I think I can get away with it.
What should I use for the metal attaching point at the toe for the spikes?
You can try filling the space between the heel and sole with foam from an old sandal. Goop works great. This is my old thread. I will update at some point so you can see the completed shoe.
What can I use to fill in that gap to make the sole one piece? I like your idea clonecollector but what about some kinda moldable bondo or something???

I sanded the lether down a little this afternoon using my dremel and some sandpaper to give it a cloth look and I also took the leather peices of the sides to give it a better "one piece" look. Have to use a little shoe goo to reconnect some of the leather pieces together that came apart when the dremel sander ate the stiching up.
So here are the updated pics of my progress thus far...
I filled in the gap with steel putty, the kind you use to fix holes in stuff, and it worked pretty good...it's hard as a rock and not going anywhere. I sanded it down and primed the first coat. I have to find the right color of grey for the final color and have the white for the soles ready to go. Have toe spikes on order and have to find something to use for the pipping.
