Build or Scrap Boba Fett Rifle

New Hunter
I found this gun at a thrift store for $4 and it looked to me like a future Boba Fett rifle, so I figured for $4 to go ahead and buy it. It seems to be the right size being 28.5 inches from stock to tip of the barrel. The gun itself is for a video game that you plug into your TV, called "Play TV, Huntin'3" if anyone has heard of it. I'm wondering if there is some way of building it into either an ESB or a ROTJ blaster, and how I might be able to do it? Here's a picture of what it looks like.

That would take a TON of work! I suggest instead to go look for a PXS lightgun. I got mine on ebay for 5 bucks. Then I used WOF's templates to scratch build the real cedar stock, PVC pipe for the barrel, a piece of thin copper pipe that was chrome painted (all those things at Lowes), scope rings from scrap sintra, a good measure of bondo to shape the gun, two pieces of PVC sheet (as opposed to foam pvc since it's strong), a scrap piece of soft leather, two picture hanging mounts and a $7 scope from Fred Meyer. I did buy some greebs for the stock for $15 a set. All and all, I spent about $35 including the greebs to make my rifle and I got into the 501st.

WOW!!! Only $35!! I will defiantly try that later. But for right now I just need something that vaguely resembles Boba Fett's blaster. I just want an okay one to go to a costume party with, not to join the 501st. But yes, it would take alot of work just to get there. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas to what to do to this one and if it even seemed possible.

Man if you just want a blaster to take to a party then get one of the Hasbro Fett blasters. It is cheap and looks just like Fetts balster with no work. It isnt for the accuracy minded but it should be just what you need.

Yeah totally. Woodman is right. Just get one of those and throw some ultra flat black on it. If you were brave you could even replace the stock with a bigger one and make it look even better. Since your likely wanting cheap, look on Ebay for a used one.

Id have to agree it realy is to far from fett to bother a mod , but if you just want to have a gun at a dress ujp party the thro some black paint on it a call it done

Thanks guys, I was just wondering if there was a possibility of modifying it at all and how easy you guys would think it would be. And you gave me a distinct answer, it was just $4 so I figured just ask. Thank you.
