I didn't manage to get on either list, but I was wondering if you had any "reject" castings of either the grip or stock, like something not good enough for the kit, but something you'd sell separately?
Another teaser pic:
I sanded the parts just enough to get them to fit together. I just super glued them together to test fit them. Unfortunately I broke the bracket tip in the process, Oops. I don't have the barrel yet, as I am going to be redoing that mold. The current weight of so far minus the barrel is about 1.5 lbs.
Quick update:
I am casting parts each day. I just ordered more RTV, so I hope to make a few more molds to be able to cast several parts a day to help seed things up a bit. I am working on all the smaller parts first and will get to the larger parts next.
Now for the question on everyone's mind...payment! I know I keep saying soon, but I cannot rationalize taking payment before I have something to ship. That said, instead of having the payment just sit in my paypal until this kits are done anyways, I'll start taking payment as soon as I have completed kits ready to go. That way it should be at your door within a week or so of payment. I'd just feel more comfortable that way.
This is looking FANTASTIC. I can't wait. Thank you seven!!!
Ditto to Darth Nickel's comment. Awesome!
A thing of beauty!! Well done!
I see where you're coming from on the payment issue too.![]()
It's sooo prettylooking forward to this one
I t DOES look great man, I'm actually excited about this one!!! (sad but true...)![]()
wow... $45. what a fantastic deal. this is as much a donation to the community as it is a prop run. that can't be much more than the cost of resin!
Once these blasters start getting into peoples hands, someone needs to start another thread with where to get any of the remaining greebles or whatever is needed to finish these off.
My son is so much going to love this blaster kit, heck, it might turn me on to getting one for myself in a future run.
I know that Sidewinder is someone to go to for your greeblie needs.
That is soooo cool!! If we wanted, I bet it would be possible to even make the hinge work on the casts! I can't wait!![]()
MOW made some greeblies not to long ago. They looked pretty darn good.
I make some ESB Greeblies based on WOF's templates. But... I'm nowhere near ready to take a large number of orders yet. I need to redo the square stock greeblie based on the photo that showed up a while back. Now I just have to find them again

If anyone can put up a list of what greebles/parts are needed to finish this off, I'd appreciate it. I'm a Jango guy not a Boba, lol.
I'd possibly help contribute to the 'Budget Fett" theme started by Seven here by doing some cost effective castings for some of the remaining parts. Any clone guys here know I'm good for it. I'd prefer authentic parts to cast off since we are getting a blaster casting off the real deal here.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait
I'm just itchin' to get my hands on one of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
parts depends on ESB or ROTJ. I will be doing a ROTJ
Woo hoo! More RTV just showed up!
going to get some more molds ready now so I can cast a couple kits a day!
I already have the first 30 grips and barrel releases done, and several of the other parts ready, now I can get the barrels going.
Oh, and these wont ship in time for Halloween, sorry.
so when do we pay?! looks awesome!
VERY cool project... The castings look great...
Guys,
A silly question i know, but whats needed to turn this into a ROTJ blaster? Is there a lot of work required?
Im going to start picking the other bits up!
dang, i forgot about this.
how long until a third run do you think?
I would be in for a 3rd run myself.Let me know.Looks great!!
Put me in a run too.
There are sooo many different grades of resin. Some are a softer resin but will have a little give with pressure and others that are alot harder but more prone to breaking if given a decent knock. I guess this will be a trial and error unless someone can chime in on the suitable grade of resin to use. Either way, I can't wait to work on this prop!!
This looks great seven, very cool!
I'd also like to be in a 3rd run if/ when you get there.
Hey Sev I know you aren't runnig a third yet but if you do??? I want in as well. (remember who bought the ugly pouches from you...)
Well, now that Halloween is over and I have more time to focus, I am going to spend more time on these to get the done and out.
..and I am surprised I have not heard from you sooner on this Boomer. I am not sure when I'll get to a third run. It all depends when I am finished with the second. But I am aiming by the end of Nov. Hopefully no later.
Add me as well for round 3 if you get to it!
Yay, that's a little sooner than I thought it'd be.I am not sure when I'll get to a third run. It all depends when I am finished with the second. But I am aiming by the end of Nov. Hopefully no later.
Any news on how much to ship to the UK Sev?
Also, could you let me know which parts i need to do both ESB and ROTJ blasters?Im torn between which one.The ESB i love, but im leaning toward ROTJ.
Hmm,decisions.Just glad i got in on the 2nd run!
Lee
hey wait a minute! Is 1st run done? I haven't paid . when do we pay? Those are beautiful casts of an origional BTW and at a great price You rock for doing this. will you be PMing us when it's time to pay?
First run isn't done yet. I am not ready to take payments. When I get enough kits completed I will let you all know, so don't worry.
I am still waiting till I get a good cast of the barrel to determine a good shipping cost to those outside the US. It's currently sitting in some RTV.
i would definitely be interested in the next run as well. looks beautiful.
Count me in if there's another run. Thanks! =]
Yeah, echoing the sentiment on the third run objective, if there is one, I'm interested, in the meantime, I'll help do greeble legwork if any help is needed...
Finally got a test cast of the barrel. It is completely hollow and really light weight.
Here are some more progress photos

wow excellent work my friend. i can't wait for my parts![]()

I think I just peed a little.Looks great!
LOL! Looks sweet Sev! Can't wait 'til you get to the second run so I can pay for mine!
Twitchy finger ready on the PayPal button!![]()
put me on the 3rd run list...U$45's really affordable...thanks a lot :thumbup:thumbup
I'd like in on the next run, too. Thank!
Wow! This is looking killer!
put me on the 3rd run list $45 is a good deal thanks
Seven these are great. Looking very sweet. Put me down on the next available run for two! Finally a back up ROTJ and an ESB project. Yeah baby!!!!!!!
How the heck did I miss this? This would be soooo much lighter to carry than my HS. If there is a third run please let me know. Seven, really great of you to do this for everyone.![]()
Looking Awesome Seven, even once you have your molds done... the amount of time it takes to cast the amount of bits you have done already...your working over time I can tell![]()
Do we have any idea yet as to how much shipping may be for UK buyers??
I'm eager to pay upfront soon so I know it's done.![]()
These are looking fabulous! Rock on, BudgetFett!
I would love to get my hands on one. Those are a work of art! Please count me in for a 3rd run.
Add me too (new guy, I know) if there is a third run. The parts look fantastic.
St Sixtus
Wow, those casts look great. I can't wait for this kit. Thanks so much
Dan
just checking for updates. cant wait. must get blaster. iraq sucks cant build my armor
Dah! So, close. Ran out of resin! Going to have to order more. Whenever I think I have enough, I am always just short.
I am really thinking about not doing a third run. If I do do one, I unfortunately wont be able to continue the $45 price tag. As mentioned by others, the cost of resin/RTV and time doesn't allow me to 'keep' doing it.
Now the question on everyones mind, Payment
I think I am going to start taking pre-orders of Run 1 to help get some more materials to finish these babies off. Once I have Run 1 completed and all shipped out, I will start on Run 2.
The time frame of completion...gosh, I have no idea. Hopefully sooner than later.
As of right Now I am half way done with the first 30. By that I mean that I have 30 kits half done, and not 15 out of 30 done. Sorry if there was any confusion.

Hi Seven,

I'll be sad to know i missed out again on a great offer.
also as i'm from across the pond in Blighty, do you know what's the damage for the postage will be?

thanks

Payment sent! Also, I PM'ed you with my Shipping address.... becuase I'm a dope and forgot to include that in the PayPal Message.... DUH! Thanks
I'll be waiting for the next run ^_^
PM sent MADDMUDDER, sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
OK, OK, I will be making more after the second run, assuming everyone is still happy with kits in the first two runs. The cost won't be at $45, but I will try still make it as low as I can. I have been adding everyone expressing an interest in a third run on a 'Stand-by' list if anyone drops off. But I would like to get through the first two before anything is in stone. From the looks of it, it may be after the new year before I get started a third.
International shipping costs seem to be averaging around $35 to give some an idea of what to expect. I will work with everyone on an individual basis to get a more "accurate" shipping quote. Quote is based off the www.USPS.com website and sometimes does not reflect what comes up at the register. I'll PM all those requesting a quote after I get home from work later tonight.

So for me how much would be the shipping?USPS says 34$ for 1.5 kg or 3.3 pounds, but I don't know if this weight is correct.
Thanks for the heads up buddy, especially regarding the international shipping!! I'm on the second run so I'll be ready when you are!

Paypal sent ( via sithchick) and...... Can someone do a step by step assembly thread. I really do not want to screw this beauty up as It's a christmas present ( My son is doing s fett). I have scratch built a blaster before but never a kit like this. They lok marvelous!!!! Thank You once again for doing this run!!!
Excellent Sgt., the one I have ordered is also an x-mas present for my 10 year old. It's a nice little father and son project.
Being a total newb to Boba, lol, I'm still hoping somone puts up a list of all the various greebles needed to finish this off in either style once I find out which one the boy prefers.
I was thinking about doing a photo tutorial on how to put it together, 'cause I know I am going to get tons of those kinds of requests.
For a list of the greeblies needed to complete a EE-3 blaster, can check out the Wiki.
Kits look awesome... top job well done.
As with the rest of the guys, if you ever do a 3rd run, put me down as interested.
I would be interested in 2 kits if there is a 3rd run.
Thanks Bro, Its Looks great!
PP sent! Yay!
A quick photo tutorial on the basics for anyone thinking about making things move like a real Webley, or if you want to just glue/screw everything together. Hopefully everything is clear. I apologize for any speling errors.
Let me know of anything needs more info.

checking pants again... so excited...
paypal sent!!! merry Christmas to me!!!!!!!![]()
You have payment, sir!![]()
so what is it that we need to finish these for ESB? And where do we get them? I would love to keep things here on TDH. I seen that you have molex plugs casted, are they included? There is soon going to be 50 or so people needing greeblies,V-8 connecting rods, scopes&mounts and flash tubes. Hotshot comes to mind since hes doing his ESB run but I know hes super busy. Any other thoughts??
Great pics Seven!! They'll sure be useful when I get mine.
