thanks! well, it is the testor's zinc chromate, so i am not sure how that compares to the other brands...i still have to steelwool it down a bit, and of course the matte finish...so that will dull it up a bunch...(y)

This cost you like over 500 bucks , but seems every penny well spent

Being a total noob, I know diddly about the painting / build up of Fett armour etc....

It's threads like this that give me a serious insight to the top job you all do at creating the character.

Absolutely loving the work you've done so far.... top stuff.

Maybe oneday, I'll be giving it a go myself..

thanks a bunch for those kind words! i appreciate that, and once was a total noob myself...i was in your shoes as well, and just decided i am going to do....and i am, suprisingly enough...:) thanks to all who have chimed in, the feedback is much appreciated...(y) the encouragement is what keeps us going...

im on your steps master... all the way

im gonna go to tokyo on feb 09, so no can spend money in good ol armor, but well, hope that 2009 its gonna be fett years

Wow I dont check a thread for a while and a things go crazy. That is a really great paintjob bud!

I think that the yellow should be toned down a tiny bit. I have found that zinc chromate with a tiny bit of gray mixed in makes it the perfect color.

Great work big D.... I agree with some others that the Zinc you used appears to be a little bright? but I'm sure with a small mist or wash with grim should tone and bring it all together?
SO when do we get to see th money' shot all the armour together and outside to see those subtle tones in the green... (y)
