boot weathering

Here are my weather boots how are you guys keeping the toe spikes in place?

I used gorilla glue to keep the toe plates from moving. Just don't use to much. it has a tendency to expand quite a bit.

Mine stay in pretty well with just the two screws. I find that every once in a while I need to tighten them up but otherwise I'm good to go.

Some Goop at the end of the toe and the 2 screws.

Mine are stuck on there with JB Weld.

I used Household Goop.

One more for GOOP. Plus the screws with a little GOOP. I also GOOPed on some foam wedges from an old pair of flip-flops so that there were no gaps between the shoe and the spikes.

What did you use for the weathering?

acrylics.. alot of washes check out Spideyfetts tutorial he's the MAN!

I just read on BM's page that he uses or ships super heavy duty two way tape with the toe spikes.

They look great. I used Spideyfett's tutorial also. Gonna have to try the GOOP idea myself.
