BooBoo Fett Belt_ Beaten and Battered

BooBoo Fett

Active Hunter
I have been asked if I could supply weathering with my belts. Well I just took a stab at it and I think I've got it. Please bear in mind that these photos are taken with my video camera (dropped our regular camera), indoor, under florescent lights. Notice my tan hand looking a bit pinkish in at least one shot.

I used Scotch-Brite to wear down the edges. For the scratches, a knife, and sometimes a finger nail. Black shoe polish on the front flat and side to simulate friction wear. The pictures don't do justice. They really look pretty battered and beaten.

Not real difficult, just time consuming. So, I will offer weathering but will have to ask for an additional $40 for 8 pouch belts, $50 for 12 pouch belts.

Let me know what you guys think of the job. Cheers all

(in deliverance voice)You gots purty hands..... :p

(peppy le pue voice) Ahhhhh, you taunt me with your belts of sect-z-ness.:angry

Ehh, errr...you're scaring me

By the way. FYI: I am cutting and dying parts to prepare for a run. Will start with a short run of 5 -10 belts, depending on interest.

And I forgot to reply to your post on the other tread:

"As soon as I get caught up on some things, I'll be ordering. Just gotta decided between ROTJ and SE, for my SE Fett. I only wear a size 31 waist in pants, do you think I can pull off a 12 pouch belt, Terry?

Also, will be eventually ordering a small belt for my son, if you're up to it. "

I'll check the measurements to see if 12 pouches will fit on a smaller belt. I think they will, but will let you know for sure tomorrow. Remember though, if 31 is your pant size, you need to add a few inches to allow for the cod/kidney armor and the girth belt. You might want to measure your waist with the suit on. And, I would be happy to make a belt for your son.

All the best

Good. I hope it's killing you. That's what you get for buying "my" gun! :D

OUCH!!! I knew you were gonna nail me for that!:confused:lol:

Well, I'll be buyin at least two (the fiance wants a "femme" version with 4 pouches) of these off of you.

I'll pm ya a lil secret that only my "makers" are being let-in on for awhile.:D

Looking sweet. How about the white sploches?

Well bro, that one I'm not sure about. I tooled a few cuts on one of my proto pouches last night. It looks good, though not the same as look as brown paint chipped off white vinyl. I'll look at white leather paint at Tandy this morning and give it a shot.

As a side note: I don't know how much of that type of damage I will incorporate into my belts. Production photos show some of that type of damage, where exhibit photos show much more, especially on the back of the belt. I think a lot of the damage on the exhibit props comes from excessive handling during transportation, set up and tear down. Just my opinion. The back of my belts will not have the destroyed look that I have seen in many of the exhibit photos. Here as a few photos I have been using for reference and comparison.

Thanks for the comment. :cheers
