Boba Fett'ing in comfort?

I have done a search on this subject and checked out a number of the results, but I was hoping to try and collect the ideas of everybody on how to modify certain aspects of their Boba Fett costume in order to make it more comfortable for cons, trooping, appearances, mobility, etc.

I've seen people putting fans in their helmets, splitting the flight suit into a jacket and pants, QD clips, and I'm curious what other things people have done for the sake of comfort and how they went about doing it. Of course, we would like these things to change the appearance of the costume as minimally as possible, and I recognize it won't be 100% screen accurate if you've made modifications to the original design.... but sometimes that's ok when you're wearing it for hours and hours, having to test your flexibility, pose, and be statuesque in 90 degree weather.

So what have you done to make your Boba get-up more comfortable, and how did you go about doing it?

The one "upgrade" I would recommend is getting the lightest jetpack possible and to get a jetpack harness system the takes the weight away from the shoulder. I have one of those tactical straps that doesn't use the aluminum frame that the original Fetts did and my shoulders will always be sore after each troop.

Which JP do you have. I have the MOW, and I haven't put it on the scale, but it definitely isn't light.

I ended up getting a jetpack from Fett Seven. It was partially for the reason stated above. I haven't weighed it yet, but it's supposed to be one of the lighter packs available.
I got a 3D printed harness and it works well. It distributes the weight the same way as the aluminum frame. I went for my first troop with my jetpack on the weekend and didn't have any issues. It will get a bit heavier when I add the aluminum beacon with light, and stabilizer, but I probably wont be upgrading with all the aluminum parts to keep it nice and light.

One more thing. Prepare to be warm. I don't think there is much you can do for that. I wore a moisture wicking tshirt under the flightsuit, but you still have flak vest and armour on top. I found the inside of my back armour decidedly damp/wet after the troop.

I have yet to don my complete get-up. Have you guys had issues sweating through the flight suit and/or flak vest? I know to wash the stuff as little as possible, in order to keep the weathering looking good, but I don't want my gear to smell like the inside of a gym bag either.

Febreeze rather than wash your soft parts. Keeps it fresh, and you don't lose the weathering.

I'm thinking about splitting my flight suit at the waist "for quick escapes".

I currently have a Boba Maker flightsuit. Would you guys recommend getting a completely different flightsuit, modding the one I have, etc? I see MOW makes a split suit.

Anybody have any experience with a multitude of these options?

I wear long underarmor leggings and a longsleeve underarmor shirt. This helps to redistribute moisture that leads to pit stains and sweating through your costume layers in certain hot spots. It works well enough and keeps me somewhat comfortable. It's also a nice buffer between layers of fabric and armor that end up rubbing you causing armor bite.

I have the MoW flightsuit and very much appreciate the two piece design. Of course, it's not totally movie accurate, but I don't mind. You never see where one stops and the other starts. they're under the belts. I'm not really able to speak on if you should alter what you have or get something new.

I wear some Nike Pro Combat compression & moisture wicking long sleeve shirt & pants. This helps with pulling the sweat & helping with circulation when standing. Granted I still get sweaty but the sweat is pulled away from my skin & keeps me dry. Also have 2 fans in the helmet to circulate air. Once the helmet goes on I tend to forget about being hot & focus on the task at hand.

As for the 2 piece flight suit. I have MOW's & it is rather comfortable. I know not screen accurate, but when fully suited up there is no way to tell that it is a 2 piece. With my Jodo Kast build I was leaning towards a 1 piece suit but decided differently after I went on my first troop this year. Wasn't able to troop for 8 months due to breaking my ankle last summer & had forgotten why I decided to go that route to begin with. I don't think it is any cooler, but is easier to put on & being separate it adds some freedom of movement. This is what I decided that would work for me & have been really happy with it so if that is something you are wanting to change that would be up to you. Also you would have to dye it cause it does come in only white so that is something else to think about.

My suit is pretty comfortable except for my jetpack harness and codpiece. My jetpack harness is made of heavy duty webbing and attaches around my waist and then goes around my shoulders and buckles in the middle of my chest. I have a heavy scratchbuilt jetpack so that always pulls the collar piece into my neck and collarbones. Fortunately it holds everything very securely and looks good, but if anyone bumps into me it does jam the buckle into my sternum pretty hard. And the codpiece, well I've just accepted that it's not comfortable and is never going to be.
As for temperature, I made my flightsuit out of some heavy fabric. It's baggy and there's enough ventilation to keep me comfortable, but when I do sweat it doesn't show on the outside of the suit because of the heavy fabric.
