    Oct 17, 2012, 4:43 PM - boba fett storage case #1

I thought I would post some pics of a storage case I have been modifying to hold my fett costume. I got it off ebay, guess it used to be some kind of military case made by hardigg. I ripped out a lot of the original foam because it was very hard and did not have much give to it. I replaced most of it with charcoal egg crate foam and some spray adhesive. I attached some d-rings to the underside of the lid and attached some heavy duty velcro straps to hold some of the pieces within the lid. There is a long skinny compartment along the back that is holding a lot of different soft parts, shin tools, and thrusters. The main compartment holds the boots, helmet, knees, and jet pack on the bottom layer then is separated by another piece of foam to hold the armor. One more large piece of foam sandwiches everything together in the lid and allows for very little movement of the pieces. I will probably add a lock and maybe some mandolorian type decals. Let me know if there are any questions!

Looks great man! What are the dimensions of this, and if you could say, spesifications of this box, for other Fetts to use with theirs!

Can you store your soft items in the box as well, or is this hard items only? And there ARE wheels on this, I hope...

By the way, I see the RotJ blaster there, with the ESB Gauntlets. Some might have problems with this...

Haha, I know about the blaster. I am in the process of converting to ESB but need to have some more money available to get the correct blaster. Hopefully no one is too offended...

Here is a link to the item on ebay. Hardigg 37x28x19 Hinged Lid RotoMolded Plastic Shipping Storage Hard Case G | eBay

It lists the inner and outer dimensions of the box. No wheels though unfortunately but I will mostly just be using it for storage and local travel. It does however fit my entire costume, hard and soft parts.

Looks great. I'll have to keep this in-mind when it comes to storage for my stuff.

This is a good threat, what does everyone use for travelling? I am going to Star Wars Celebration Europe 2, and I would want a suitable case that can withstand the brunts of being chucked about by the luggage loaders. Any recommendations?

This case could probably get thrown down a flight of stairs and not take any damage. The other reason I got it was its resistance to having other things stacked on top of it. I think they used to hold machine parts and get stacked on top of one another, so it is definitely able to withstand a lot of force. I do not really ever intend to fly with my suit but I am sure this could hold up. It is a pain to move around though and really takes 2 people. I might be able to attach wheels some how...

yep mil equipment case..we use those and pelicans all the time. Could of had lots of electronics in it, or just things that go bang.
    Nice setup.

Maybe just move the bits around a bit and create enough space for this to be on the top:

so when you need to transport it, just pop it open, grab the trolley and go?
