Boba Fett Scratch build WIP

I keep jumping around so I don't get bored. I did build a new helmet though which looks alot better than the old one. Right now I'm waiting on my jumpsuit, but bought all the fabric I needed for all the other soft parts. Pretty exciting. Decided to work on my belt though just to change things up a little. I'm using this tutorial by StrumFett http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/wip-ammo-pouches-fully-functionnal-44124/. Basically just traced out all my pieces. 20140331_153121_resized.jpg I wasn't sure at first which Boba I wanted to do, I was going to just take parts of each Boba that I liked. I've decided on a special edition Boba hence why all the pouches heh.

anyone who built their own belt am I to understand that when you do the strap you just take your waist size and add 6 inches?
the belt overlaps by about six inches, so i'd make it about 12 inches longer than your waist size, i think that would make more sense

I have most of materials and everything I need to complete my costume. Is it easier for people to have everything in one thread or make different threads for different parts? I'd like to share my progress and maybe help others if I can.

Very nice! I'm struggling to come up with affordable boot options. It's so troublesome finding a non-leather chelsea boot with the correct sole.

thanks :) I found these shoes at a store called the shoe dept. It took alot of searching though. I'm not sure what to do with the stripe yet I'm going to paint it then see if that looks ok. If not I'll fill it cause it kind of dips in the shoe a little.

I got my base colors in and it's such a big difference. Also decided to just paint the stripe and it seemed to work out well, I did also paint the sole not that people would see it much but they were like bright red. 20140425_141119_resized.jpg

I was drawing up my pattern for my flak vest and not sure if I did it quite right my q seems to be in a weird spot. Any input would be appreciated. 20140426_215854.jpg

Did you used these templates (all credits goes to Darth Mule ==> Flak Vest Tutorial. Draft your own pattern.)?

Then you need to trace the Q line mirrored to the EE line.
Yes I did. I don't know maybe I'm just weirdly shaped cause my Q actually goes past F, but I didn't think it was supposed to so I just made it to F. I think I have to redraw a few things on the pattern just because I had a hard time reading the instructions since half the page almost looks like html code.
