alright guys ive finally gotten around(y) to starting the post sarrlacc armor.. im building it like i think it would have looked from reading the story a barve like that.... progress will be slow but in the end it will turn out good im hoping

ok here are some details about what the suit is going to be like... there will be no jetpack as it exploded in the sarllacc.. the back plate is going to be blown off with the jet packs accept at the corners.... the chest armor is goin to be missing chunks here and there.. there will be no left shoulder left sleeve left gauntlet or left glove.. reason is his left arm was broke and i got the implement while reading the story that his left side got more damage.. the right shoulder will be scarred up.. same for the codplate. there will be no amoo belt.. im sure the stomic acid or jet pack explosion would have cause it to get destroyed.. there will likely be only pants leg of the flight suit and one shoe will be severley cut up... there will probablly not be a cape..

ok lets get to the first progress pic

i will paint it soon.. ive got to find a green thats close to rotj in a spraypaint can

any and all comments are welcome good or bad..,,

I would suggest giving the paint a slight chemical burn look to simulate digestive acids. You know that wrinkled bubbled look you get when you use paint stripper on old funiture. But keep in mind that the sarlacc slowly digest his prey so these details would be more subtle. The green color of the armor should be faded and washed out and dulled as well. Just my own thoughts. I love the idea! This sounds fun as a project!

Didn't he strip off all of his clothes and armor before climbing out of the pit? In that case, the post-sarlacc-pit wouldn't be too difficult. Just wear the helmet. And nothing more. Oh yeah :D

No, but seriously, though, this is an awesome idea! And the chest armor looks good. Can't wait to see more pics!

Soups_On_by_DarthMater.jpg

Something I drew a long, long time ago......

I like to call it "Soups On"

Maybe a little more inspiration for you! :)

Maybe you could add some tentacle parts to your costume and don't forget the blood stains and scars you'll have on your body from nearly being eat alive!

Color change due to the sarlac is a possibility, personaly i think its a little bright, mabey a little dirt to dampen the brightness? Just a thought, but would love to see some more picks, ive been following this since it first posted, keep up the good work, cant wait to see the helm!

Mandalorian01- glad to hear you're getting back on this. This thread inspired me to put one together with left over pieces...I spent way to much time on the helmet, and tenacle then got in a time crunch on everything else. here's some pics- Good luck on your post!
