Hey Alan, thanks for all the help! I'm almost done with the first run. I'm going to paint them tonight. They turned out pretty nice with your foolproof templates, even though I got a little confused with the dart block. I'll send you a pic when I'm done.

Thanks guys. These have been a lot of fun to put together. Iíve spent so much time planning and drawing templates, it feels good to actual get back into building stuff. Feel free to post your efforts here if you donít want to start a new thread. I really like to see how they have turned out.

Prymer13 - HA! Your Jedi Mind tricks wonít on me, cuss I donít know your address, so there! Besides you have to have a mind to trick and I lost mine a ages ago.

Cool!! Looks great. Thanks for posting the pic it is great to see people putting my templates to use. Keep them coming.

I hit mine with chrome paint last night and I am quite happy with the results, four coats of primer and wet sanding paid off. Iíll let them cure for a few days before I start the painting process.

I picked up some Liquitex Mold Builder to use as a masking agent. I also printed up some full size shoulder bell emblems on parchment paper to give it that aged look. I try to post some pics tonight, donít know how the chrome will photograph.

    Hello,

As I was working on the Jango Knee Armor template I noticed an error on sheet 5. Apparently I don't know right from left. Sorry about that. The ZIP file has been updated.

I think your templates deserve to be a sticky topic. Thanks for the great work!

    Your templates are wonderful.
The knee armor you made from them look great.
My version from the templates - not so good.

    Hello,

I have added some smaller knee armor templates to the first post.

In addition to the standard 4.5" wide there are now 4" and 3.5" wide templates. Dimension refers to the width of the knee.

I'm not sure I quite understand how to construct the dart blocks. I can gather from the blueprints that angles and dimensions of the front and sides, but I can't figure out the tops and bottoms and how they slope. Does that make sense?

    EDIT:
Disregard that. I understand what to do now

Great job, Wiz. Hey, just wondering, what type/brands of glue and epoxy did you use?

I ended up using 3mm and it came out pretty good. Adds a little more body.
