Boba Fett costume help

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie and looking for some help and advice.
I really want a Boba fett costume...I have a Stormtrooper armour that I have had for about 7 years, I wear him once or twice a year for charity events...but he looks lonely on display now and would love to have a great Fett costume to display and wear occasionally too.
The problem I have is that I am a complete no-hoper with any form of DIY and I know you folks are all superb at making things...I've been blown away by your photo's etc...it is incredible. But as that's not really an option for me I was wondering what completed costume options there are ? Has anyone has any knowledge of the Rubies "supreme" Boba Fett costume ? It looks ok from the limited pictures I can find, but was wondering what you thought of it as an option ?
Any help you can offer would be massively appreciated.

Run. Run like hell from anything Rubies.

That being said, take some time to check out some WIP threads in the Costume section, some completed costumes, and decide which version of Fett you want to be. ESB, ROTJ, SE, or even the rare preproduction versions.
Next, do some research into who makes what parts. There is no one-stop shop for quality Fett parts. A variety of makers supply parts for members here, and it's up to you to decide who to go with for your bits.

Agree with Necronaut! Run!

There have been some members that tried to convert a rubies into something usedful, but from what I remember by the time they gutted everything they spent more money replacing parts.

You may not be a DIY guy, that's cool. As Nec said, find the version you want to go with, then find an armor maker. Budget it all out, and then start buying up your pieces. If you can paint, that saves money, but if not, you can send your gear off to other members. I can't imagine it be harder than putting stormie armor together once you get the parts.

Fett is a lot more money than a stormtrooper, so start saving. It's a long process, but worth it in the end!

Like DeathProof has already mentioned putting a Boba Fett costume together can be quite a long way. But somehow I think this way/each step is an important and interesting aspect of this hobby.
So take your time or on the other hand from time to time complete high quality Boba costumes are beeing offered here as well.

Your time table will depend on how much you have to order and from whom. Some of the fabricators have a ton of work so it may take few few months to get your parts, but the quality is fantastic. You may want to try to buy parts that are done or a whole fett, although these will be more sometimes than if you did it yourself. My build was a mid level build which cost @$1500 and took Six months to do. I ordered my helmet from Animefan, and my gauntlets and JEtpack are Man of war and everything else I made from scratch. Avoid eBay and read the builds people have done here. You need to think of it as a process to enjoy. And for the love of all things Fett avoid the rubies costume.

Hahaha....I'm getting a feeling I may have said a swear word by mentioning the Rubies Fett :)....seriously thanks for all the comments guys. I get the feeling I should either save for a full Fett or start learning DIY and be prepared for a long process and patience :)
Cheers all
