Boba Fett Chicken costume

New Hunter
Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster.

With C5 coming up, I figured it would be the perfect time to start putting together a Boba Fett chicken costume, especially seeing as I'm a bit of a larger guy, ala Something something something Darkside. :)

I would like to pose a couple of questions to you. First, which helmet should I look into? Keep in mind I will have to cut this helmet to fit a chicken costume.
Second, should I go with foam core and sculpt armor? Or go another route? I defer to your collective expertise!
If this is the wrong forum, I do apologize.

Thanks everyone!

Any pics on this costume? I didn't see any from CV. I am just starting the same one and I would love to know what chicken suit you used for your base!

You the man! I was talking with Pandatrooper and we might just go foamies tho. Cheap and easy. Not really going for super accurate. But It had crossed my mind to go all out on the armor.

Foamies would be cool for this build, but painting them sucks. I only use $20 of sintra to make a Boba set with no backplate though. Just lemme know if you want some and I can bring em to ya at the next troop. I can even paint em since I already am working on my ESB Boba and have all the paints!

since screen accuracy to the real movies isn't necessary for this costume,I would say go as cheaply as possible.

this was when i realized that i had a problem.

i had thought about making chicken-fett for halloween. but then when i started planning out the sculpts for custom, family guy accurate armor, i stopped myself.

And on this day of our Lord in the year 2010, the Earth did weep with pride to hear that its son Brian did finally learn restraint and pass upon yet another Herculean effort, when for a first time he verily did utter the words "I stopped myself".

The only issue I see with that is that the armor bits will probably have to be bigger to look size accurate for the chicken suit. But I do think I will go with real armor vs foamies. I am probably going to wait till I get the suit before I start on the armor. The only thing I am going to do armor wise right now is the bucket since I am connecting the beak to it.

It might be a while before I get some pics. It's only in the planning stages right now. I plan on having it done for Emerald City Comicon next march. But I will post all progress...promise!

I too have been working on a Giant Chicken Boba Fett costume. I thought of it the day before I left for CV and obviously didn't have enough time to put it together for the convention, but it is now about 95% finished.
