Boba costume for a 3 year old

New Hunter
Hi everyone,
I always wanted to build a full suit from scratch, but seeing all the talented craftsmen here, it was an intimidating idea. I figured I'd start with a few test pieces and see how it goes. That's when I discovered how satisfying it can be when you see your work take shape. My 3 year old loves Star Wars, especially Boba Fett. I thought it would be best if I make my first-ever build for him. He always wants to help and loves every small progress I make, which in itself is rewarding. I thought smaller scale would be easier, but it turned out to be more pain in the butt than not. Screen accuracy is out of question, and some details are lost but I'm having fun building it, and it's good practice. It takes forever though, as I don't have as much time focused on it as I'd like but it's getting there.
Everything is made out of cardboard, bondo, fiberglass, etc. the usual works, other than the jetpack missile, which is turned from a broomstick. I'm using the WoF templates, as I thought that RafalFett's templates would be a bit more challenging on a smaller scale, although the accuracy was more tempting. Maybe the next one...
So here it is, so far, still a long way to go. Any and all criticism, as well as suggestions are welcomed and encouraged; after all it is the mistakes that we're learning from.
Thanks for looking.

And here are the jetpack pics, plus some of the gauntlets.
If anyone could fix the order of the pictures, please let me know how. It doesn't change, regardless of the upload order I assign. Thanks

Thanks guys for the comments.
Yes TheZeroEffect, it is small; the jetpack is only 5 and 1/2 inches wide, instead of 16.5".
I just rough cut some of the armor pieces. Still working on the back piece. One thing I have to keep in mind is that at this age, they grow so fast...so I better finish this while he still fits the measurements. :)

I didn't have much time to work on this project, unfortunately. I did manage to mold the helmet and my first pull is fairly satisfactory, to me anyway. Since this project is as more of an experiment, I'm not to concerned about being too accurate. I already had to re-do the left ear; it was thinner than I would have liked it to be.
I also started to paint the first pull and I masked off the silver damage on the entire helmet. I found out it was a lot of work, but at least I have the whole silver covered, I hope.
I will not dare the airbrush just yet, so I went with rattle cans, that will obviously not give as much detail but again, for a first time project I will be satisfied if it comes out half way decent. It's a learning curve and there is a ton of learning to do with the Boba stuff. So far I found that masking is strangely therapeutic when done for a long time :)
Anyway, here's a few pictures, hopefully more to come soon.

Nice job, I wish I had a lathe!

I'm building for my 4yr old too.
But I don't have the resources to cast a helmet for him yet.

Anyways
Cheers
