Check out post number 52 in this thread.
Wire up your LED and drop it throught the "nut" from the top. Put the LED up inside of the beacon to the desired height, then run the wires to your switch or power source of choice .

mine will probably show up at work today right after i leave for the day. that always happens...

The beacon has a "Hollow bolt" so to speak. First, drill your hole in your jet pack, freaky, I know. Then drop your wires in from the top and run your LED up into the beacon and turn it down snug with you hand.

One pic is with the flash. The other one I had to turn it off because the LED would not show up.

You could do it however you want but thats how I'm gonna do it.

i got mine. i'm hopefully going to install mine tonight for a troop in the morning

Got them Friday.

Painted the beacon, and had to do some minor surgery on the BM pack to make it fit.

You may want to extend the "nut" for the beacon about 1/2" more for the slightly thicker packs.

I had to cut into the pack to allow enough thread up to connect it. Also, in the BM pack, he has metal rings embedded there, so that had to be chopped up a bit to allow for the width.

Wasn't too bad though.

End product came out pretty good.

i didn't paint mine, but i did slap it on my jet pack (ruffkintoys fiberglass), and it worked out great.

i'm going to unscrew it, paint it, and put the LED in it some time soon.

Thanks for the advice,
I did not know BMs was thicker at the top. I have a MLC V1.0 and its only about .100 thick. I will keep that in mind on future runs.
If anyone else has troubles or comments, good or bad, please let me know so I can get it corrected.

Yes...shoulder studs. Those may be a little more difficult to machine.

Sorry to hear you had to do some surgery on the JP. If anyone would like their Pack supplied with the 'D Rings' in a different position please let me know, I can position them anywhere you like.

Anyway, I also got my beacon and stabilisers, what can I say...? very well machined, flawless. Thank you.
