back armor attachment question

im am entertaining ideas about this also. i was thinking about gluing velcro on the back of the vest in 5 or 6 locations to get a good connection

klinjo hi.I just use heavy duty snaps from the local Joann Fabrics.Cost $5.00 for 7 pairs of heavy duty snaps.I attach them to the back armor with J-B KWIK Weld.It sets in 4 minutes and ready for heavy use in 24 hrs or less. When attaching only velcro I use Indutrial strenth velcro and use contact cement by DAP brush it on both sides, leave it set for 5 minutes then attach the two pieces together and they are STUCK!!!!! I took my armor off to show how I did mine hope this helps,Jeff

That was a nice post brother. I doesn't look like your armor will be flying off anytime soon!

:cheers

Hey Ppl,
On the movie suit, the back plate is held together with the collar plate w/the studs... and is kept in place with the help of the weight of Jetpack.

So no need to over engineer the back plate.:confused

Many Fetts have trooped (myself included) without any problems!

i have industrial strength Velcro on there now, but i am now strongly considering adding snaps to every piece of armor i have, thats a great idea, i would have never thought of that

Exactly.
Mine is held to the collar with Velcro (easier than removing & installing studs each time.
The straps go through the backplate & attach to the Jetpack holding it in place.
