Baby carrier jetpack harness

Ok I had a member contact me asking about my jetpack harness. I re-purposed a baby carrier for my jetpack harness, pretty much just cut off the baby carrier portion, and sewed the harness straps to the front of the shoulder straps and viola! Jetpack harness! here you go.

How heavy is the jetpack in kilos man? This is very informative

Gives me easy cheap ideas for my build!

The jet pack weighs about 4.5 kg. The carrier was rated for about a 30 lb child, about 13.5 kg. Also the whole rig is nice and padded, so it fits quite comfortably.

That's what I like about it, the fact that it's all padded, does it look hidden when wearing your vest? Also it's only straps holding the top isn't it?

Here's how it looks in full kit. The only part that shows is the very bottom of you lift your arms up

Here's the one I used. I also had to move the bottom snaps on the shoulder straps from the baby carrier piece I cut off to the waist belt portion. This particular one cost me $30 bucks and about 1/2 hour worth of sewing to move the buckle snaps and add the jetpack straps.
