I found mine in the sporting goods section at Walmart.
Also, if you look really closely at Dick's Sporting goods, you will see a few of the proper scopes attached to pre-assembled air rifles. I paid $35 for the entire air-rifle just so I could get the scope off of it.

    Hope that helps.

I picked mine up here on the TDH, from a friend. They turn up on the forums for sale about once a year or so... If you keep an eye on ebay they turn up on there, also maybe once a year or so, but you're going to have to really dig for them. Other than that... there's no place to really look. I use to go to gun shows about twice a month looking for things of this nature, but never came across the correct ASI scope this way. To be honest... I think it's easier to locate a real Webley flare gun than to find the correct scope.

It was the proper scope but with the wrong clips for it.

    that's a problem then

i'm pretty sure he's looking for the exact same model (maker, year, mounts, windage knobs, etc...)

i gave up after a while... i pieced mine together out of a similar looking 4x20 and a vintage scope from ebay with similar looking mounts. it's not as accurate as i'd like, but until i stumble across the right thing, it makes my blaster whole, and looks better than a 4x20 with modern scope rings.

that's my advice... keep your eyes out, but get something as close as you can for now and just replace it when you can, rather than letting the whole thing be held up for the final solution. it's trivial to swap out the scope...

i just wonder who found out that it was an a.s.i. scope. does a picture exist where one was able to make out the companys imprint on the scope, or did someone find a matching scope and that happened to be an a.s.i.? cause as we all know different companys ordered from the same scope manufacturer and so different companys used the same scope. meaning you can find a scope from a different company and it's still the same scope. a webley scope from that era is a match as well. unless you want an a.s.i. print on yours.

Actually it is not the proper scope.

It has some resemblance to the ASI, but I have not found a currently made rimfire scope that is an exact match to the ASI.
