my understanding is that the collar overlaps the backplate on top...and then they are attached using the collar studs...

By the by, since the studs connect the two pieces at the top, where do I attach the bottom of the back armor?

It's not attached, the jet pack and the collar studs keep it on place

i attached my backplate with snaps to the flak vest at the shoulders and down low. my neck plate is the one that is free floating now attached with the collar studs.

    Re: Armor clarification

Im a little concerned because I am using the templets found else where on this site, and if I force the collar to touch the back plater the armor chokes me. Then the problem becomes which piece (collar or plate) do I make inaccurate so it fits, of am I thingking of this wrong?

You may need to extend them back with the WOF templates, they are a little short.
