AoSW Rifle revelation!!!!

Great pics LP! It may be the same scope actually... the AoSW scope shows signs of modification, so they could have done a hacksaw job for it. I think I agree with Volker on it being a manufacturer mark.

I did a little checking and I agree with Volkerc about the mark too.

I found the same mark on some other scopes. I have several different 4x15 scopes from one brand yet the only ones that have that mark are the scopes that that have parts which match the ASI. The mark always follows JAPAN no matter where the country name is on the scope.

I bet some scope book or price guide would have a key to manufacturer symbols. There's a book I've been wanted to get called Old Rifle Scopes, but it's out of print and always sells for over $100. I checked the state library catalog, no luck.

I think the AoSW blaster has an ASI. I have scopes with parts that match your Armsport so I recognized the longer eyepiece and shorter end bell right away. I'm using a longer eyepiece like that on my IG-88 head (better match for the droid part than the ASI-style one). I've seen a Webley like your Armsport too - right knobs and base, wrong end bells.

here's more. bobaswede was kind enough to answer a question i had about his sussex armory scope he said looked close to the a.s.i. so i asked him for a picture of the area where i suspected the same manufacturer logo. and bingo, the picture he provided has the same logo stamped on the scope (which loooks like an infinity sign, but is not).
i own a sussex armory scope from a different manufacturer with a different man. logo. so i say his is an accurate 4x20 coming from the same factory, all it is, it just says sussex armory, not a.s.i. so another choice to get a scope.

And to belive that i was actually considering trying to scrape the logo off as i thought it distrupted the look of the blaster.. good thing i didn't...
