Anyone had any experience with these sellers?

Anyone know this E-Bay seller... 502smallblock (aka Deathstar Creation)?

He's been offering gel coated fiberglass armor for a while. He is now offering parts fully painted. Is he a member of this board? Anyone have any experience with his armor?
 
I bought some Gaunt darts from Evo. They are great and you cant beat the price. The other armor parts on the other hand need some work. It depends on wat you want.

I checked out the same armour on Ebay just the other day. I may be wrong but from what I remember reading on here he's a suspected recaster.

The other issue I had was that I want to buy most my armour etc from BM and with the excelent paint job that Daz does, I don't think the green matches up very well with this seller's work.

He is a known recaster and had been banned from more than one forum. Personally, I stick to the forums.

once again - its from my experience in TK, clone and other 501 forums
502smallblock (aka Deathstar Creation) is a KNOWN recaster and has been called out several times

before any1 asks for evidence, its not hard-stand-up-in-court evidence again, but various threads in various other forums.

he in fact, admits to recasting as is un-repentent abt the practice. the latest was him SPing on CE and having a go at SGB

I just bought some gloves and darts from evo. You have to be carefull what you get from ebay sellers. Small parts are usually "ok" and for the quality its always overpriced. I never understood someone that doesn't have accurate products but charges the same or more than accurate sellers ( I guess there are a bunch of suckers out there ). As far as armor I'd say NEVER buy from ebay stores or people that mass produce for sale only on ebay. The only reason I'm buying anything from evo is cause gabriel is a member here and he has a couple parts that aren't too bad. He helps us out also with prices. Really nice guy. Also I've heard gabe will usually work on his products to make them more accurate for others cause he really wants his stuff more accurate.

I have just bought a boba belt from 'costumebase'. Really pleased with it and the quality is good. Its made of PLeather and didnt cost that much. I think the pouches may be a little bigger than they should be but I dont think it really matters. Also they delivered to uk from singapore in only 9 days.

hey I know spoon and his wares quite well
costume bases stuff is good budget stuff. but depending on which costuming grp u go with, will alter the amount of modifications that will be needed. For instance - the jedi tunics are ok for rebel legion, but not for UKG.
Its a horses for course kinda thing.
in terms of price - its low. delivary - very good and efficient. communications top notch. quality is variable, accuracy is at most times pretty low if u are goign by exacting film accurate levels. also dont think he has ever been involved in any recasting from wot I have heard.

I'm in the process of receiving from evo. Thus far there's been minor inconsistencies- on the other hand Gabriel has gone above and beyond to correct them. When I receive the whole suit I will keep you updated with pix.

I will be very interested to see how you go as i was planning on purchasing some soft gear ( jumpsuit & utility pouches) from him.

The jump suit isn't screen accurate, it has a few more "accessories" on them than Fett sported in the movie, the J.S. came w/out the utility pocket pouches for the shin tools although Gabriel is sending me material so I can sew my own on and he's sending me a Boba-helmet liner for free as compensation. Also, The vest/neck seal are a nylon/polyester material, not canvass. I've yet to receive the entire outfit, over-all, for the price, it is well worth it, and evo's customer service/contact is exceptional. I have no real gripes thus far with their service/product!
 
Well, I took the plunge and bought my Jet Pack from evolution.

Boy, what a mistake! I've had nothing but trouble after the package arrived (it took about 6 weeks!!) looking like it had been run over by an 18-wheeler!!
Apart from broken components, the JP looked considerably different from the item that was shown in the ebay listing.
Gabriel sent me a second package with replacement items for the broken parts and also the components which didn't match the original description or were totally missing.
Lo and behold, this second package arrives (after another 6 weeks!) looking like roadkill again!! Luckily, the broken parts were repairable this time. However - the nice, wide, metallic hooks arrive cunningly disguised as two small, thin, flimsy pieces of plastic!!!!

Ebay says that in order to receive a refund, I have to return the items to Argentina at my own expense - not gonna happen. I can't even leave negative feedback now, because the listing finished too long ago!

I will now have nothing more to do with this seller. Not even if they were the last prop makers on the planet

Cucublak is based in Bolivia, Santa Cruz, There is a mixture of luv and horror stories related to his work. As far as TK and BS are concerned they are low quality Pulls, and ppl have reported that they sold theses sets of armor to him yrs back and then he started to make theses suits. I dont know about other items. but i do know that i was nearly 8- balled in many a fourm because i was Bolivian and it took a long time to prove that i wasnt Cucublak or working with him. He actually applied to our OutPost, and when asked to plz send better pics or if we could see him in costum he never replied. Like i said i dont know abouit this other items but his TK and BS are highly questionable, not to mention the amount of **** i got for just being Bolivian.:angry........
 
I just ordered from evolution toys on ebay. I will let you know when the stuff arrives. I'm looking to make a decent boba fett costume. I just scored a master replicas helmet and it is amazing!
 
I got my biker scout soft parts (flight suit and cumberbun) from Cucublak with no issues.
also got a vest and shin tools from evolution ,the vest was the wrong size and he sent me a replacement so I don't have any ill feelings towards either of them..
I would be weary of the armor though,
Cucublak's TB armor looks a lot like a recast of MLC
and evolution's fett armor just don't look accurate to me
