Anyone with experience hiding speakers in their armor??

I'm thinking I'd rather try and hide the speaker(s) for my voice amp in either the right chest plate or the ab plate than down in my side pouches.

Right now I have a Rom/FX that comes with an 8 ohm/ 8 watt speaker about an inch deep after you remove the rear part of the casing. That's decent, but still a little thick to hide behind my ab plate. Anyone know where I can find a speaker that still can do the same output, but might be thinner?

Or can I pop this speaker out of even the front casing and still have it sound okay? Without the front casing, it would be less than 3/4" thick and easier to fit. It seems to be glued around the edge into the front plastic housing:

Any thoughts?

you could drop it into one of the side pockets on the ammo belt. or have a special pocket sewn into your flightsuit under the vest just for the speaker maybe under the right plate to offset the the lights under the left.

I popped the speakers out of my old cell phones (that have speaker phone) and used them...
