Anyone ever use boot lifts?

Hi folks
As I'm a little short to be boba 5'8"to be exact... I was toying with the idea of using lifts in my boots to add a 2 or 3 more inches.
Does anyone else do anything similar?
Is there anything you would recommend?
Cheers

Heck I'm only 5'9" but isn't that in the height range they wanted in actors to play the original clones? As long as your armor and suit is proportioned well to your body it will still look great.

Jeremy Bullock is 6"1. The actor that plays Darth Vader (David Prowse) is 6"5 and Billy D Williams is 6" for perspective. Billy D is wearing healed shoes for a little more height so in some shots he looks taller than Boba Fett. I would imagine a little bit of a lift would help. I'm 5"9 myself bit as long as the proportions are correct for my build people won't think..."wasn't Boba Fett taller?" You should be fine man. The biggest thing going against most is the fact that the armor and Suit looks a little baggy on bullock because he is sooooo thin. 32 inch waste? If anything it's the thickness of most people that looks off and not screen accurate.

Thanks folks well I'm quite heavy set so I don't exactly look screen accurate anyway... I just thought a few inches up might help with the look too FB_IMG_1459687417060.jpg

Im personally 5'11" and with full fett on I'm about 6'1" I'm also heavy set so even being taller I still don't look "accurate" . My friend is our garrisons kylo and he's about 5'9" and has lifts in his boot so he is about 6' with lifts boots and helmet . He says they are pretty comfortable just a little to get used to at first .

I know a few female Stormtroopers who use those heel lifts inside their TK boots to make themselves a little taller. It's definitely doable.

Let me google that for you

The internet has Don Bais listed at 6"1 as well. Since he was who suited up for the ROTJ special edition it seems like they would have attempted to stay true to the original actor?

O.K. so the interwebs says he is 6"0..I am sure he has dropped a few inches since he is now 71. Arguing details aside he is a 6 footish guy who looks about 6"2 in the full setup. Point being he is a skinny dude as it is and tall so for us shorter thicker people scaling is the best bet and with a bit of lift in our shoes to balance out any width we have. The illusion of elongating a person with tapered clothing and scaled and minimized bulky areas would go well in making someone look more like his height.

Food for thought. Take a look at the picture. Harrison is 6"1 and compare how he looks next to Carrie and how Jeremy looks next to Carrie at the reunion. Keeping in mind that in the picture with Carrie, Harrison looks even bigger because the Han Solo boots alone have about an inch and a half heal on them. Jeremy and Harrison look pretty close in size to me, maybe off by an inch? As well for more perspective Anthony Daniels is listed at 5"9 and look at his height compared to Carrie. Just having a fun discussion on this, not sure this has been beat to death yet. :p

This really could all just be illusion though. Movie makers use all sorts of tricks to make someone look bigger then they are with platforms, angles etc. It's an interesting study though for sure!!

Jeremy Bulloch is no where near 6'1. He is about 5-10 or so at best. IMDB has him listed as 5'9.

I don't think that is even Bullock in that scene!! I can't remember what scenes it was exactly, but I do know that there were a few days that Bullock couldn't make it to shooting due to other conflicts. They used the actor who played dack in esb to stand in for Bullock as fett. I'm not sure on his height, but I think was slightly shorter than Bullock???

Correct. John Morton was in the Boba costume during that whole scene. He also played Luke's Snowspeeder co-pilot Dak.
