Cheap Ammo Belt

Richie's Ammo belt is around $120 I think. Does anyone know of a cheaper dealer? That's a little steep it seems like.

I bekeive that $120.00 is only for the pouches, not the belt. I don't know of any cheaper, but you get what you pay for unless you do it yourself.

I bought some leather scraps on ebay for $10, and some brown dye for $4. So my belt will cost me $14! And time...

The $120 is just for the 8 pouchs. The belt itself is another $50. I know, I have been talking with him about it the past couple days.

$170 isn't too bad for an all leather belt like that. It could be more........
GT used to have one for $57 and it sucked big time....You get what you pay for...

i wish you luck, it is an adventure..... :) Plan on having a good $1000-2000 to do a good decient Fett. I have about $2000 invested into mine now and that is without selling all my updated parts as I went along the way...

Just buy some leather or vinyal and do it yourself. That seems WAY too expensive for the belt. I made mine for a lot cheaper than that.

Yeah WebChief, I was starting to think I should. I dunno how feasible it is for me, but oh well. How much leather does it take? Oh, BTW, have you updated your thread on your costume? I painted my helmet using your info and pics. Great instructions!:D

There's a guy on ebay who sells leather scraps for about $10 (starting bid, and you'll probably get it at that price). He has pics of the actual scrap lot he's selling, so look for a lot with several large pieces. Also, if you need a belt, look for a lot that has a long piece. I found one lot that gave me 8 pouches, a belt, and a Solo blaster holster (though I accidentally cut it out facing the wrong way, and now it's a left handed holster - DOH!).

The leather is untanned, so you'll need to buy leather dye, too. I bought several bottles of brown leather dye on ebay as well at $1 less a bottle than Tandy Leather sells them for. Then you stain the just like staining wood...I think...

The link is dead but I think we're talking about sitti1, or Peter Lawless. He's being discussed in several other threads. I won't delve into it all right here. If you're after feedback on him just search the archives for prop palace.

He generally delivers, but quality is debateable.
