Ammo belt fastening help

I have an amazing ROTJ ammo belt by BooBoo Fett and I'm just now at the stage of putting the final touches to my costume. I'm wondering how everyone fastens the belt at the back? Do you just use velcro? I haven't tried it yet, but the belt seems quite heavy and I'm not sure if industrial strength velcro alone will be enough to keep it in place...

I don't think you will have an issue with the velcro. I haven't trooped in mine yet but I don't think it will be a problem. BBF makes amazing stuff and wouldn't put the velcro on there if it didn't work. Enjoy your belt. I love mine.

I've had two different leather belts (one being much heavier) and industrial velcro works fine.

Yep its plenty strong to hold it up

I use metal grommets and leather lacing. Definitely not coming off!

I have Booboo's belt and no problems with it velcro is just fine....

I have an older Taco belt but same thing, industrial velcro and never had any issues. Not sure if I did or not, but I may of used clamps and roughed up the part of the belt I was sticking the velcro to when I first applied it. I can't remember...
