Ambu Fett / Sci-Fire Boba Fett Rocket Pack...

Ambu Fett, a brand new member to this forum, has decided to help us with the Boba Fett Rocket Pack. Ambu Fett is a fellow propmaker here at work and is very suited to building this pack from the prints. The best part of this pack will be the ability to make the grappling fins functional.

Let's face it, there are a lot of great packs out there that are available. We've gone to great lengths to ensure that this pack is the correct size as well as proportional. This will not be hypefirm BTW. LOL... Fiberglass is the intended material at the end.

Thanks for all of the comments! Please keep them coming and feel free to point out any glaring irregularities. This place is filled with folks who are way more in touch with the in's and out's of this piece.

I will be making the bottoms for the side canisters at lunch tomorrow, like I did for the tops today. Pics tomorrow if all goes well.

Thanks for the bump start John!

Personally, I think that they probably broke or chipped the top of the rocket during or after ESB and they had to repair it for ROTJ. That rounding and the sharper point looks to me like a poor repair job.

Smart John. Stupid Nate.

the models cone on the left side seems to have a slight curve to it. the right seems to have a straighter angle to it. do you guys have an estimate on what these are going to cost?

To me it looks like they may have made a vertical block mold, in a tube and the weight of the resin in the tip bulged it out.

It would explain why it appears bubbles ended up in the bottom of the fins.

This rocket looks really nice. Looking forward to seeing the end results.
