Aluminum Boot toe spikes for you CA boots or other boots

I can't wait to see how they turn out GotMaul. I need a pair for my JW boots but I"m gonna be chicken until I see how well yours do!

I got mine in ! BUUUUT, dang canadians, have a square bolt wrench I have to get to attach it ! lol. I will pick this up from HD tonight and attach it for your viewing pleasure. But from the looks of it, it will fit and a great look !

BTW- how do I sand this metal down, make it all shiney like its other friend ?

Hey a 1/4" triangle file works great around spikes, a flat 1" file for frame and 80 grit sandpaper to start and fine sandpaper to finish....

finally found the wrench used on these screws ! anyhow, these look wonderful on Jango Wes boots and have my seal of approval !!

Hey all,

My spikes went onto my JW's as well:) They look great!! The toe spikes are one of those details that if you don't nail it...it doesn't work. No worries here with these spikes as you can see in GM's post. If you are on the fence...go for it!!

Cheers,
-Kevin

Got mine today too! They look killer. Does anyone use that word anymore? Or am I showing how ancient I am? LOL
Now I guess I need a pair of boots to attach them to.
Thanks, Fab!

I got a set of these a while back, and they are awesome. I had a quick question for you guys about mounting them. Besides using the screws, is anyone using some type of adhesive on the plate??? Mine fit great, and are very snug, but I'm afraid if I snag them on something, they will pivot down. I was thingkin of using something like shoe goo???? Anybody else use any kind of glue on theirs in addition to the screws??? Thanx,
Damian

GOT 'EM! Awesome stuff. Thank you. They got here about a week ago, but I've been out of town. Jango's kid, I am going to use the Gorrila Glue.
